The time has come for the kiddos to nap, so they don't make Gramma nuts tonight...

So I am signing off.....

Shower, packing, making dinner, and then.....

off to the airport, after lots of smooching the kiddos..and I'll probably start crying a little too

What a wonderful getaway....SO happy you ran into your sis and family...and then more time later! Perfect!

Truth be told, I never expected to like WL much...being a Polynesian and GF gal...but wow...fell head over heals ...and while Poly will likely always be my absolute favorite (all those memories...be still my heart.) , WL is up there near the top. If you liked it in August, you'll be nuts if you get to see it decorated for the holidays! Hopefully in Dec 2013 you'll be able to join the Grannies for a couple of nights...I've a feeling we just might land at the Lodge that trip (fingers crossed!).

Looking forward to hearing all about your trip!

So my rapid packapalooza goes off without any problems...except that none of the kiddos napped so it took a bit longer than expected. I took my shower and was ready to go be 6pm....kiddos had breakfast for dinner...easy peasy...

Thunderstorms loomed in the forecast, and DH suggested we leave a wee bit early for the airport...

Good thing he did, traffic was HORRENDOUS!

Arriving to Newark airport, we had an awesome parking spot and we went through security no prob

Then I noticed my boarding pass....departure 1050pm, boarding 1010pm,

Ok, I figured, no biggie, only 45 minutes.....so off to Earl of Sandwich we went...YUMMY!!!! I had the Italian, DH had roast beep, turkey, and cheddar, and a Bud Light...or 3....

The line for a table was long, as everyone else was delayed at least 3 hours

Now, mind you I can SEE the gate, as I am watching the times changed again, and again....

When did we board you may ask.....1048pm (we were supposed to arrive MCO 1150pm) ...when did we actually get up in the air.......1133pm

I am staying calm, all good, it will be fine.......

Arrival at MCO, no problemo, smooth flight.....one problem...I was in Terminal A looking for DME....... no signs, where were the signs for DME.....so I politely ask where it is (after pacing the entire 1st level of Terminal A...uh, more than once...the gentleman responds "I don't know"

So I kindly ask in my best Spanish Really, you never heard of Disneyworld's bus??????

He smiled and explained we needed to walk over to Terminal B...

Voila, a miracle, I jarred his memory...OK that ws kinda nasty, but being I am bilingual, I understood him when he said to the man next to him, let her go ask someone else....whoops, yes sir, I KNOW Spanish

Now we get to DME, the bus is here, go right on....so we do!

And we wait, and I watch, and the driver gabs away, and I wait....now impatiently.....

Did I mention there was a second DME bus boarding next to us????

Now in true Jeanette fashion, I step off the bus, ask our ETA, and he said, I am ready to leave now...another miracle...at this point I AM MAD!!!!

I should be at WL>>>>NOW>>>>>>it is 220am at this point

So all my pouting and redfaced aggravation....as we hit the highway and the video starts.....I am better....

Ladies and Gentlemen, our 1st stop tonight will be

Disney's Wilderness Lodge

We step into a very, quiet, empty lobby...there is a bell on the desk, like a motel bell..TOO COOL, DH rang it, and sat by the fireplace while I checked in....

Remember Online Check In???? Yeah, not done, nothing ready...and wait for it....

Ma'am are you staying for 53 days??? Yep, in all my changes our check out date is October 1st.... AWESOME!!!

The CM walked us up to room 7084, I wouldn't see the view for a few more hours....so I set my alarm for 9am, we had a 10am Crystal Palace reservation (pushing it I know) and it was off to beddie bye in a very COMFY King bed!!!!

But first, there was a card and a gift left from a special lady, and a table full of treats courtesy of OFC so we had some snacks...and the fridge, yep that was stocked too....Getting to our paradise was well worth the wait

We MADE IT!!!!!!!

Our lovely room...complete with gifts!

Our snack table...notice a cookie disappeared....
