I posted about this on the familes board but thought that some here might be interested. they are tattoos that are preprinted with your name and contact info on them. You put them on your small children that are too young to give info to someone if they were to be separated from you in a crowd. They also have that say nonverbal and autisic. I plan to get some for even my 7yo who has not memorized his dad's cell #. You can never assume they are too old for things like this.

would have loved that last week when my ds with downs asked to go into the honey i shrunk the kids playground- yup! lost him!:scared1:

asked for help as I was alone- the cast memeber were not too helpful-one couldn't leave his slide area for safety reasons-another one was claustrophobic- one said- we may have to call security!

well -close the entrance- gave the description- you cannot miss a 15 yr old with downs wearing a dalmation shirt!

I was a wreck! he is nonverbal also

he usually sits in his seat i have my hands on him the whole time!

he can write his name address and my cell but i don't think anyone would ask because he cannot talk- what is the company? can you give to me-thanks

They offer a variety of informative tattoos like food allergies, nonverbal, autistic, and lost. They are $19.95 for 30 tattoos and no latex used. It is a great way to inform a stranger if the kid is lost. You can apply as many as needed. Sounds like a good product and they only put phone numbers and not names (safety reasons).

Size: Actual size of each SafetyTat is approximately 2.25 inches wide & .875 inches tall.

Find a dry, not too hairy, clean, spot on the kid. Peel the transfer paper, make sure you got the right side down, firmly apply to the kid for one minute, and then use something wet and keep wetting the spot until the paper comes off.

That is a lot of work if you are not disabled and it might be impossible with some kids who have sensitive skin or cannot hold still to get a shoe tied let alone have mom holding them and wetting their arm.

Not to be used by pregnant or nursing women.

Wow! I'm going to have to check that out! There are also wristbands you can get for food allergies at www.foodallergygear.com that are waterproof and come in bright colors. I've also seen things that go on your kids' shoelaces in case your child won't stay still for a tattoo but I can't remember the site for that.
