Safety question ?

What about cherries? Should I be concerned? There are pits, but also stems. I'm so confused now.
The stems aren't a concern they aren't fully covered by the cherry itself. Just the pits. I'm not sure why they haven't been banned altogether by now?!

I wonder if thats why I hardly ever see watermelons with seeds anymore? Growing up that's all we ever had nowadays it's only seedless. Fda mustve outlawed the watermelon seeds.

King cakes are now sold with the baby on the outside of the cake for the purchaser to put in the cake. There's also a warning on the package that the plastic baby is not edible.

We just shake our heads every year that it has come to this.
I guess the bakeries down here haven't gotten that message. No warning label on bakery items since they are not prepackaged and no baby on the outside.

I was wondering if cherries were under the lollipop exception....

Just as a wet blanket over this fire, the FDA has no jurisdiction over fruit/vegetables or minimally processed fruit. That's the USDA. There's also case law that naturally occurring choking hazards such as pits or bones may be present even if supposedly removed.

The dog does not live with us since we have a dog of our own and they did not get along

That's not how this whole thing works at all. Since the training program takes quite a while (20 weeks) the handlers are screened and chosen with care. Any potential conflicts would have been weeded out prior to the assignment and training. After training if it's clear the handler cannot handle the responsibility, which includes caring for the K9 24/7 and having the dog reside with them and their family, then they would not be allowed to continue as a K9 handler and would be reassigned. The dog would be retrained with a new handler.

It is not a possibility that a K9 is just left at the Barracks like a piece of equipment.

I can only solve one problem at a time. Now we know how to dive in a kiddie pool. Can someone list the unanswered questions again, lol
