Safety question ?

Where does your husband leave his gun? My husband is a Sheriff deputy and he would get in BIG trouble from work if he didn't bring his gun home and into the house (they are absolutely not to leave them in their cars overnight). In our county, if a deputy's firearm is stolen because he hadn't taken the correct precautions on keeping it with him, then he will be fired.

I really don't want to lend any credence to the OP's claims or give her the correct answer, but there are some departments that allow police officers to lock their guns up at the station if they, for some reason, do not want to take them into their home.

Just a flavour of chip. I think that they are most similar to BBQ chips. The same sort of "powder" covering (but redder). I don't really think that they taste like ketchup, but not sure how to describe them (also, have not eaten them in years, so my memory may be wrong).

LOL I was picturing a chip made by squirting ketchup on a baking pan and baking it. I guess my brain isn't working because I didn't even consider it was a potato chip flavor. I don't know who would want to eat either but what do I know I like salt and vinegar chips.

I can see where that might be an option some places to leave the gun at work.
What about the K9 dog? If the handler doesn't want to take care of the dog at night, do folks at the station volunteer to take over the responsibility?

I apologize, this response was confusing to me. Since I was the one that asked what you meant by half and half family, which I now understand you to mean biracial. If your Husband is also from a black and white family, how is he just black? Do you say that b/c he inherited more of a darker skin tone?

The "new method" of training dictated that the canines be sociable, allowed to be in and around the general public, and reside in the handlers residence. Most canines up to this point were extremely aggressive and kenneled when not in use. This method, is still one of the most prevalent training methods in the United States.

Well, those are the canine units of the New York State Police, so I can't think of any viable reason why his partner wouldn't be listed.

I never found it strange potato chip flavor because as a kid, if there was already ketchup on my plate, I'd always dip my potato chips in it.

Made as much sense as dipping a french fry in it.

The dog does not live with us since we have a dog of our own and they did not get along

Ketchup chips are Canadian. I'm almost 50 and they have always been around. Just another flavour like salt and vinegar, bbq, or sour cream and onion.

Yes they taste like ketchup and you end up with red dust on your hands.

Common to take them to ex-pats in a Canadian care package.
