We did not stop and we went right through to the port. We loved the cruise we are planning another one for next summer

Most major cities in the US have had BLM events in the past week. As well as a lot of small and medium sized cities
You just haven't heard about them because nothing major happened that would grab headlines
So if your criteria is you want to stay away from any place that's had an event, in all seriousness staying home is pretty much your only option

If you are seriously concerned for your family's safety, why does the fact that you've already paid for it matter?

You're far, far more likely to get into an accident on the highway than you are to be a victim of a rioting group setting fire to your car. Do you want a solution to this fear or what? Not really sure what you're looking for. None of us can predict what is going to happen anywhere unless there's some kind of event planned (if even then).

Yes, but you say one of our main worries is that the road will be closed. You have been on the roads there and back recently. If you did not worry about this a couple of months ago, you needn't worry about it now.

I don't mean to start drama but when that is all that has been on tv since Thursday you start to think what if. I know we are safe and I should not think like this but it is just the mom in me that want's to make sure we are all safe. I need to figure out if my husband can carry outside of new York if he can that would make me feel better.

May I ask a question? I have not read all the pages. But what does your husband think about your worries? If he is not worried , then you should not be worried either. These protests go on here where I live, and I still have to do my normal routine. I don't think about it.
