Safety late at night MCO rental car

My DD10 and I will be arriving at MCO very late/early in the morning, about 12:45am. I have reserved a car from EZ Car Rental which is offsite. I am a bit concerned about safety issues of 2 females traveling offsite (about 2 miles according to Orbitz.com) to pick up the car. Do you all think this is a good idea? I got an unbelievable rate for the week. $90 for the entire stay. They provide the shuttle to pick you up at the ground transportation area.

Any opinions will be appreciated. Also suggestions.

Oh, this is not the trip that is flashing at the bottom of my post in the countdown area. This an unexpected trip just for the "girls" due to DD10's cheerleading squad being in a competition in Tampa. Couldn't resist a trip to WDW and DVC.

Thanksgiving trip will be DD10 and me with DH, DS4 and my parents.

I don't know anything about that rental company but I have come in many times after midnight at the Hertz lot with no problems. I would not hesitate to go offsite to get the car.

Thanks SafetyMom for the reassurance. And by the way we are staying at CBR. I have noticed that you seem to be the resident expert on this resort. I know we will have a great time!
