We're planning on using the safe in our room. I was wondering if they cost extra and do they use a card key or a real key? Has anyone stored cash in them? Will it be safe?

Each resort we stayed at had a real key and we have always kept cash and things in them and never had a problem.. :) Using the safe costs nothing but it WILL cost you like 30 dollars should you loose the key.. :)

I have never stored cash in one but some of my family has. I store my IPOD in it. We have never had a problem with the key or finding anything missing.

We stayed at Pop in January and the safe had a regular metal key. I kept cash and travelers checks and my cell phone in it and we didn't have any problems. We also had a CD player and a Game Boy that were just in a zipped bag and nobody bothered them, either. Not that I think it is a good idea to leave valuables unsecured...
