Safe running routes from Loews Hollywood Hotel?

We are staying at the Loews Hollywood Hotel starting Sunday on our ABD. I would like a safe 3-5 mile running area from the hotel. Suggestions please?
Also, is the walk to Target from the hotel safe?

I'm just curious if you figured this out on your own. We are staying in December.

No personal experience but my husband works out there and their favorite Hollywood runs are the Hollywood Reservoir or Runyon Canyon Park. Both are about 3 mile runs plus 1-2 miles from the Loews hotel to the trailhead, and both are busy and pretty safe in daylight.
