Safe cheap hotel?

Looking for recommendations for a safe cheap place to crash off 75 south about 3 hrs north of wdw.
This is our first time driving down so I'm not familiar with the route yet.

Responded to this over on the Transportation board but in case you miss it:

Never done that drive before, but it looks like Lake City, Fl is where you want to look. Go to Google and search for "hotels near Lake City, FL" to get a list of likely prospects and see them on a map.

I would go to TripAdvisor -if you've never used it, the reviews are quite reliable. Looks like you'd be somewhere near Lake City -if you do a search within T/A you'll find several places with very good reviews. Good Luck.
