Safe and Secure Walmart to Rest at in NJ

We are leaving from New England and a couple of weeks. We decided to leave early evening and would like to rest up and get some sleep somewhere in NJ. We are planning the 1-95/New Jersey Turnpike route.

We are thinking of pulling over to rest for a few hours either in Hamilton, NJ or Burlington, NJ at Walmart. Which town is safer to park and rest with other campers?

I would also like to know if either community has places that are open 24hrs - for restroom use - since the Walmarts mentioned close at midnight and 11pm, respectively. I suspect we might arrive at these locations around 1am.

PS. We could travel a little further south - I see the Somerdale and Woodbury, NJ Walmarts are open 24 hrs.

The Somerdale Walmart is off of I-295 about 10 mins. away (depending on the traffic lights).It would be closer to 20 mins. from I-95 or the turnpike exit #4
I live in the area & would have no problems shopping there but I would check with the store to see if they have security for overnight guests.

It looks like all the Walmart's I mentioned do offer overnight parking/camping. I think it might be safer and have easy access to a restroom to chose either Somerdale or Woodbury.

If you pick Somerdale get off the Turnpike at Exit 4 and then take I-295 to Rte. 30. There is an Applebees in the shopping center and a decent diner on Rt. 30 nearby.

I live about 5 minutes from the Hamilton Walmart. It's a safe area (large shopping center) with lots of restaurants (McDonald's, Cracker Barrel, Chick-fil-a, Wendy's, DQ, Chili's, etc) that will be open either late or early. There is a TGI Fridays across the street thats open till 2:00am Sat and Sun. It's about a 6 minute drive from exit 7A. Don't know anything about Somerdale or Woodbury.

Be careful - friends of mine had their RV broken into at a Walmart parking lot while they went to get something to eat. Her jewelry was stolen. Not sure where it was.
