Happened to us today, too. Went to check in for our flights tomorrow morning (2/11) and got the message our flights were cancelled. We put in a call to SWA and nothing was available to us until Sunday. Also, flights were booked this weekend because of Presidents' Day weekend and the Daytona 500.

Oh well, worse things could have happened!

I with you on that john.....autotrain out of Lorton VA leaves tomorrow 4pm...it will have you there rested for lunch on friday.....leave now...you can do it...If I was closer you could borrow my Sequoia, it loves disney trips and does great in snow to boot. We also got our flight on Southwest for tomorrow cancelled and changed to Sunday night. The kids will miss a day of school(Monday the 22nd) but we were able to switch everything around. Keep tryin. I was on hold with Southwest for 3 HOURS!!! I hope it works out for you. I know how we all felt when we got the news our flight was cancelled.

Oh no Why does it have to be so difficult to escape winter? When we lived in Colorado we always had that worry.

Now we live in Houston and we only have to worry about hurricanes and flooding.

It happened to us too! We had a split stay with 3 nights at BW with BW view, and 2 nights at BLT with Lake view (1 BR). With no flights from DC until late Saturday or Sunday, we decided it was not worth it. The good news is that DVC is not counting this as a last minute cancellation and is reinstating our points, SW is also giving a full refund. It could have been worse, we will not be out any money, but will have to reschedule... If anyone is looking to move to better rooms and can get there, I would be calling DVC!! I believe they have lots of last minute cancellations.

My parents flight today out of Boston got cancelled too. Southwest called yesterday to cancel it. They said their hub is in Baltimore and their planes have been snowed in since the first round of storms. The earliest they could reschedule was Sunday night into Tampa. Mom & Dad are now driving down with us.

Can you drive? I know not today, but if you headed out very early tomorrow you could get there by midnight. I know it's a long way, but you'd still be on vacation.

Drive, the roads will be cleared long before the airports get their acts together.

We are from MA too. We got a whopping 3 inches of snow. Every single school was cancelled even before it started snowing!!! We just got back from WDW and we are greatful nothing like this happened. I can honestly say, I don't think I would chance traveling in the winter again. It is way too risky.

I agree, get in your car and drive. I drive from PA all the time. It is 14 hours (shorter than delayed flights and ME). Make a vacation out of the car trip. Rent a car if you have to. Tell Delta to give you credits you can use for the next trip.

Either you want to go or not. I say go!!!!

LOL -- that crossed my mind too but I'm sure that's not exactly what the OP meant. However, it definately stinks to have your plans cancelled so close to the departure time!
