Sad news at my house today

We found out today that our dog, Kellie, has bone cancer in her shoulder. Please keep us in your prayers. DS-10 is putting on a brave face but I know when it comes down to it, he is going to take it really hard when she passes on. DS-6 doesn't really understand the gravity of the situation. Thank you everyone. I know it will help if thousands of my Dis friends will think of us right now.

Our Sadie died of bone cancer back in August. I still expect to see her get up and greet me when I get home She was almost 13 so she'd been a part of our lives for a long time.

I hope Kellie doesn't suffer too much and for your kids. We prepared ours for the inevitable but it was still hard.

I'm so sorry to hear this. My dog, Denny, was put to sleep last year due to bone cancer in his 'wrist' (the joint just above his paw). It was horrible to see a normally lively, energetic dog barely able to walk. {{{Hugs}}}

This family has only just received a diagnosis and I am sure they will follow their hearts and their hopefully competent Veterinarian's advice don't you?

It's so hard to see a loved pet in pain--I'm sure Kellie has been a happy pup all her life because of the love she's received from your family.

last week our daughters Rotti was put to sleep after breaking his front leg. This dog never complained (as it is the rule of the canine world) the cancer was all thru his front leg. This dog was the best Rotti around. So sweet and lovable to everyone......Clutch was eleven years old.
Three years ago Clutchs playmate (our dalmatian) had cancer in the back and spine.....Dogs do not whine or complain......

I lost my cat to old age (she was 1 week shy of 21 years old) about 3 years ago, and it still hurts like it was yesterday.

It is very hard to lose a pet, I don't know how to prepare for it. Just enjoy them while they are here and remember them when they're gone. Still doesn't ease the pain though.
