sad/mad about Catwalk

After reading FunkyLamb's thread about fav places that are no more, I could not believe that the Catwalk (in Disney Studios, over the old Soundstage restaurant) is GONE! I remember hearing about its possible demise but never were told it was absolute. Many times I would find myself in one of those old stately chairs, with a delicious drink and burger (yes--you could order from the restaurant below and it would be sent up to you). I would see characters cavorting with happy children and would check out all the cool things they had in the catwalk's view. The best thing, however, was the fact that not too many people knew about this place. It was a "secret place" in Disney. Oh well, another disappointment... --Wilma

I know how you feel, we miss catwalk! It was great having a quiet cool place to go relax and take a break at MGM. They had great pina coladas.

Hi, on another thread a poster RussH wrote that it is open sometimes. I think it depends on whether a show is going on downstairs or not. The thread says something about what places are missed. Check it out. All the best, Wilma

I think it's closed far more often than it's open--.
Too bad. They could now REALLY use a nice bar/lounge area, especially with the Brown Derby being nearly full all the time thanks to Fantasmic.
