I have a couple of questions about SAB. We are staying at BCV in Oct.

Where/How do you get the wristbands?

Do you need to get them each day of your stay or are they coded for your entire stay? (so you have to put up with them all week?)

Thanks for your help!

The pool area at SAB is fenced in, so you can only enter thru the gate, which is manned by a lifeguard. You will need to show him/her your room key. They put a paper band on your wrist and give you your towels. You will repeat the procedure every day you go to the pool. The wrist bands are pretty durable, so they last the whole day at the pool with no problems.

when we were there last week the wrist bands changed colors every day, but one day (Wednesday, I think) it seemed that the lifeguards were using five or six different colors.

as posted, the bands are durable and waterproof so there's little chance that you'll lose them. However, if you do you can see the friendly lifeguard and get some more.

Have fun in October - that's our favorite time of the year to be in the Kingdom!!

Silly question, it's just my DD and I going. Are there lockers by SAB or what do you all do with your room key?

Thanks
Sandy

Can you tell, we've never made it to a pool (except the quiet pool at POR and we were the only ones there :D )

we usually brought a fanny pack or pool bag along and some of our own towels (the ones they provide are pretty small) so I just put the keys in there. There are lots of people around and I never saw anyone snooping around stuff that didn't belong to them. We were usually able to get some chairs near the place we liked to swim the most (lazy river) so we checked our chairs and belongings on a regular basis as we floated by.

I did not see any lockers, but I wasn't looking for them either so I may not have noticed them even if there were there.

Yes, there are lockers at SAB, over near the rest rooms. Seems to be plenty.

Thanks for the reply everyone. The last time I was at SAB was last Dec - I was walking through - and no one was handing out wristbands at a gate (there wasn't even a gate to speak of) - I guess because it was so slow.

The lockers are very small and are for a small fee. They are in between the rest rooms and the rental place, if I remember correctly.

FYI - DVC members get free access to the health club. They did have lockers in there but I didn't check out how much they cost. I did use the showers on the day we left. We had already checked out but wanted to swim a little longer before we started for home.
