WE are doing a 4 nite land (Poly)and 3 nite cruise pkg. We booked the air on our own to get non stop but did purchase the transfers. How does it work when we get to the orlando airport with our luggage? Do we get it or does Disney? Also, when we get to the Poly and ck in is that also our ck in for the cruise? Does our Poly room key work there and on our cruise stateroom? Please explain all of this. Thanks in advance for your help.

Since you have transfers set up through DCL (make sure that DCL has your flight info...even though they are not providing it for you, this way they know when you are arriving). As long as you are arriving on a sailing day (Sunday, Thursday or Saturday) the actual DCL reps will be at the airport. You would put your luggage tags on the bags prior to checking them in at your home airport, when the bags arrive at Orlando International the DCL baggage agents will pull them from the carrier and put them on the Luggage trucks for delivery to your hotel. The luggage will then be whisked to your resort for you and be waiting for you there (the resort will hold it for you until you are physically in the room to receive it). As for you, you can exit the plane and head straight for the DCL buses. When you come over from the airside, as soon as you get off the shuttle you should see the DCL agents (they are usually swarming the airport on those days) and they will direct you to the bus pick up location (again your luggage will be taken care of for you).

When you check in at the hotel it is a straight through check in. The ID cards that you receive for the hotel will be the same ones you will use on the ship. You will not need to re-check in for the cruise, it is all done at the same time. If you happen to lose a card the front desk can replace it.
