Cast of Characters:

Me DW 32 Planning fanatic… I have to be planning something or I’m not happy… a vacation, a party, a wedding…. I plan for myself, for other people that’s what I do. I make plans and I change them… then I change them again… you know how it goes.

DH 35 Had only been to Disney one time before the previous February when we went for just 3 short days with some of our immediate family.

DD 4 Loves Princesses and Rides and everything to do with Christmas.

Yes I know it’s almost May, but I thought I’d try my hand at a trip report from our trip last December. I would have done this sooner, but I couldn’t even visit the disboards for 3 months after our trip it made me too sad.

It all started late September last year… September 30th to be exact I just checked I still have it. Started with what you say? An email with a pin code, that I quickly opened and deleted. WHOA, I think about a half hour later, lets look a little closer at that email…. Sure enough it had a coveted pin code for and even better deal on rooms. I must confess the reason I thought to go back and look, I starting my morning off at work like I always do, by checking in on the disboards and saw all the people clamoring about getting a pin code email the previous evening. Thanks again to the DIS!!! :thumbsup2

So I call and do a little price checking… well a room at the Polynesian for 5 nights, with dinning and 6 day park hoppers for the same price as the free dining promo I‘d priced earlier! I’m in. I book and then rush down back to tell DH. We work together at our family business. He’s not jumping up and down like I am, but he’s fine with it. We’ll work on his attitude adjustment later. :stir:

So what do I do next? Ten minutes after making my reservation and telling DH??? I THINK OMG I’ve got to plan these meals. And run back up to my computer to try and figure out how to get CRT. I had successfully gotten a CRT in February and really wanted to do it again. Trouble is we’re less than 90 days out, I’d booked our trip for December 4 -9th 2005 and knew they were all long gone. So I did what any self respecting planning freak would do, I called and checked for cancellations… nothing the entire time we were there. I continued to call every day until just before we left. I never did get that CRT breakfast anyway… but thanks to another amazing Diser on the Dec ADR cancellation thread I did get a lunch. And thanks to another great Diser, I got a Le Cellier dinner, instead of a lunch that I had previously settled for.

So the planning continues… I realize I need MANY ADR’s and I start researching, scouring menu's, reading dining reports & the restaurant board for hours on end, and painfully waiting for pictures from the food thread to download, figure dinners around which night to do fantastic, which night for MVMCP, which day in which park, oh so much to do, Yippee!! Did I mention I love to plan. :woohoo:

So I start telling our family, we’ll be gone during that week and December and bragging about my good deal. What do I get for a response? “You’re not really going to do that are you?”, “You’re coming to FL in February do you really need to go in December?” , “your DD is going to be one of those spoiled children who’s going to expect a Dis trip every year”. My response to that one was “Do you really think 2 trips to Disney in the same calendar year (different winters really) is going to effect her ability to grow up a good person?” :confused3

Anyway it was enough to make me start second guessing myself. Maybe this is a bad idea, maybe we shouldn’t spend this much money this close to Christmas, maybe it’s too much to go twice in 10 months. My DH and I volley this back and forth, go, don’t go. Go, no don’t go. Lucky for me my DH is agreeable to anything I want to do, which was part of the problem, he wouldn’t give me a straight answer about what he wanted to do, he would only say he would do what ever I wanted to do. It was my decision. So then one day in Mid October as we’re coming close to final payment time, we’re still debating and going back and forth when he says, “Let’s just do it! This flip flopping is making me crazy.” I was on the computer and happened to stumble across some GREAT Southwest rates at the same time he’s sitting in my office, telling me to make up my mind. So I say well I can get SW tix for the 3 of us for $49 one way and $59 the other way. So I say if I book it that’s it were going… no turning back. He says go ahead (kinda in a I dare you sort of way) So I did! I booked our flights, and you know what it was like an immediate weight had been lifted off my shoulders! We were going it was decided…. After all the debating and should we or shouldn’t we… WE’RE REALLY GOING!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

So the rest of the fall was all about ADR’s I called CR so many times I think many of them knew me by name…. I expected them to start calling me to check in about which reservation I would like to change that day. And then there were the days of being paranoid where I would call just to make sure my ADR’s were still there and still correct and that I had the right confirmation numbers. LOL Oh I’m sure they LOVED me. ;)

Thanksgiving week comes and it’s only days till we leave now, I’m so excited. We are going to miss a few Christmas parties and a couple birthday parties that I feel guilty about, but only for a second, after all we’re going to DISNEY! Oh and then I ask my parents to watch the dog while we’re gone and my Mum says “So you’re REALLY going??” I roll my eyes, YES Mum we’re going on this trip that we’ve been planning for 2 months now! :sad2: We’ve been keeping this a surprise from DD it was to be an early Christmas present for her, so the conversation had been limited when she was around. However I’d been telling the family about what we’re going to do on this day, and what dinner on this night, and the MVMCP and all the fun stuff we had planned. They just didn’t think we’d do it. Once I booked our flights, I was determined… if planes stopped flying we’d have gotten in the car and driven, after all we’re only in Maine ;) and we’ve driven to FL every year with our DD since she was 4 months old, I’d drive straight through 28 hrs before I’d miss this trip.

We were scheduled to fly out of Manchester NH airport on Sunday morning December 4th at 7:30 am, since Manchester is 3 hours south of us we were going down the night before and staying at the Four Points Sheraton, which had free park n fly, a pool and a pretty good restaurant. In all of my planning I’d also realized from the transportation board, I could change my SW tix for FREE! And so I did change our return flight from an early morning one to a night flight, so we could get a full last day in Disney, which meant we’d also be staying at the Four Points the night we flew home. So I was hoping it would be comfortable and it was.

Up Next: Getting There

So today’s the day, Friday December 3rd, we’re supposed to work ½ day but by 11:00 I’m pacing the floors, and decide I’m outta here! So I head home to meet up with DH and we take care of all the last minute house things, get the animals off to their respective homes for the week. We pack the last of our stuff and finish loading the car and head to pick DD up from preschool a little early. We had planned that we’d tell her when we landed in Orlando, but the night before we’d caved in to family pressure who were now excited like we were and wanted to see her reaction. We expected jumping up and down clapping and yelling. However it was more of “So I don’t have to go to school next week?” I said “No honey you don’t have school we’re going to Florida to Disney World the happiest place on Earth!” To that she responded “Great.” :confused3 I knew the excitement would come from her when we actually got there.

We’re finally off and heading down 95 toward Manchester by about 3PM! We’ve heard a slight possibility of snow showers the next day but we’re really not worried it’s New England after all, and if they’re not talking about a foot, I’m not going to worry. After one wrong turn, we make it to our destination I’m pleased upon check-in friendly staff… good parking area to leave my White (this will be important when we get home) Tahoe with in view of the front desk. Good looking menu for the restaurant. They don't have the room with 2 Dbl beds available, but they have a N/S King. Fine I'll take it. The room is nice and comfy, so we get settled, and head to dinner. Which was good, reasonable priced, and to tell the truth we’re all so excited the food could have been cardboard based and we’d have been happy. I enjoy a couple glasses of Pinot Grigio, and hope to sleep well. I never sleep well in hotels… NEVER.

We head up to our room watch a little TV and turn in fairly early although I think the three of us giggle and talk for over an hour. DD is in the only bed with us, which means none of us will get a great night sleep but oh well we don’t care. Before we know it it’s 4:00 the alarm is going off and DH & I are up and showered and making coffee. DD has slept through all of this so far, but with only 20 minutes to go we figure we need to get her moving. Which goes pretty well, she’s a pretty flexible child, we can bend and contort her into her clothes with minimal effort on her part. :rotfl2:

We have to get the 5am shuttle to the airport because the next one would cut it too close, or so they told us. So we scramble, to get all our stuff that’s going with us together, and the bag of stuff that’s going to wait for us in the car. And off we go. Well lo and behold the lobby is FULL of people heading to the airport. So they send us in a taxi with another couple. :crowded: It goes pretty smoothly once he jams all of us in with suitcases in our laps between our legs and for those of us in the backseat of the van, luggage resting up against our heads! :headache: The airport is further away than I figured, but we’re there unloading in 15 minutes or so. Unloading the rear of the van was easy he lifted the hatch and it all tumbled out onto the ground, I’m sure the man traveling with us with that nice set of golf clubs was thrilled. The rest of us had to be pried out like pieces of a puzzle that fit a bit to tight. Finally we are all out and have all of the correct luggage and just as we hand our bags to the sky cap a few snow flakes start to fall. No biggie I smile to myself, thinking of the snow we’ll be seeing on Main St. on Tuesday. So we check in, make bathroom stops and make our way up to our gate. WOW I look out the window and it’s quite white, I think huh those flurries accumulated fast. Then I hear, slight delay de-ice… blah blah blah blah blah. WHAT?? this can’t be happening it’s a few flurries!! UGH. It really wasn’t that much of a delay but when you’re heading to Disney World the last thing you want to hear is the word delay. So about 50 minutes after our scheduled departure time we take off…. Then the pilot, who we'll call "Captain Good News", says unfortunately I’m not going to be able to make up any time because of the headwinds, rough weather, blah blah blah, so it’s going to be the full 3hrs and 10 minutes of flying time. Great way to start off, late and turbulence, which we had pretty much the whole way. They start a beverage service, and then he shut the seatbelt sign off, DD and I book it to the restroom. Luckily we're inside when Captain Good News comes back on and says unfortunately I thought we were in the clear, but more turbulance, so the seat belt sign is back on. Sorry folks, then I hear the firmly ordering people back to their seats. DD & I finish our business and head back to our seats trying not to make eye contact with the poor souls who weren't so lucky. :rolleyes1

Finally Captain Good News actually has some good news, we're making our final approach! Whoo hoo we land, the entire plane CHEERS as the stewardess says “WELCOME TO ORLANDO” and it’s like a switch has been flipped and the whole plane is smiling.

We’re using ME and it all goes pretty smoothly, we had no problems finding the ME desk, the long check in line moved fast, in minutes we were in the corral waiting for the Polynesian bus, that seemed to take forever, though I’m sure it was only 15 - 20minutes… but I didn’t say I was the most patient person in the world.

The ride over goes great, the bus driver was AWESOME he was cracking jokes had us all rolling. The magic had already stared… I could feel the stress and impatience of the morning fading away. Then we go through those magic gates and everyone on the bus cheers! Wow, two synchronized cheers in less than an hour, this has to be the happiest place on earth. I think to myself, how lucky we are to be there, and then we pull in to the Polynesian! OUR STOP!!! Excellent I say to myself, things couldn’t get any better… but they do!!!

Up next: Let Day One BEGIN!!

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for sharing.

The planning and journey are through. Now lets here about the fun! Can't wait to hear more.

Thanks for posting

Please scroll down and read day ONE first. I sent this one first by mistake... sorry I feel like a trip writing failure. :(

The phone rings at 6:30 since we have a 7:30 ADR at Kona, I put speaker phone on when it rings so DD can hear Stitch’s wake up call, she’s a little to groggy to fully appreciate it.

We walked up to the podium at Kona about 10 minutes early, and the lady wouldn’t even take our name! She said we open at 7:30 and I will take your name then! I was like OK then, don’t piss off the hostess at Kona! So we wait off to the side, at 7:30 there are tons of people there, but most of them didn’t have ADR’s so after the second man walked up and stepped in front of us, she actually said, would anyone who DOESN’T have a reservation step aside. Then she took our names and gave us a beeper! The restaurant was completely empty, just opening but we’re being sent away with a beeper? :confused3 Oh well, we don’t let it bother us and go wonder around looking at the Christmas goodies that are on display. It’s a fairly short time before our beeper goes off, 5 minutes maybe… and by this time the hostess is as nice as nice can be.

They seat us at a table right against the railing, which is a little awkward with people walking by scouting out our food, but it’s ok. I order the Tonga Toast, DD gets the Mickey Pancakes, DH got something else, that I can’t remember because I can’t find that receipt! We paid oop and enjoyed it, the Tonga Toast was a bit too sweet, I only had a couple bites, then ate some of DD’s pancake.

We head right off to catch the MGM bus at the TTC, this is a first for all of us, we never made it to MGM in February and we are so excited! We head right to Tower of Terror, with only a 5minute stand by line, even DD says she wants to go… we have a blast although DD says she doesn’t want to do it again. But only because of the thunder and lightening parts. ;)

We see Beauty & The Beast show, wonder around a little bit lost. Not sure what to do next, we don’t make the best use of our time, but we see and ride most things. We loved Rock n Roller coaster, DD was very upset she was too short to ride. So we just used our FP’s to ride one at a time. When I came out she sitting on the wall with DH eating Cheetos, drinking Apple Juice with a sparkly Mickey Ear thing on her head. She was still upset about not being able to ride, but her treasures were appeasing her for the moment. After RnR we saw the Lights Motors Action, and that was a big highlight, we all enjoyed it. Then we went in search of food, we got in line at the Flatbread Grill, but nothing appealed to DD so we set off to find something else. We walked around a big circle (like I said we weren’t making the best use of our time) and stopped at Pizza Planet… by this time it’s 2pm we get two pizzas meals to split between the three of us, which was more than enough. The salad’s that came with them were pretty good. We also got a water, chocolate milk, and a chocolate chip cookie, and a rice krispies treat to round out the meals. Price was $25.17 two CS meals used. We all thought the meal was pretty good and satisfying, what I expected from a fast food pizza place. We finished our touring and headed out, stopping at a vendor to let DD get her face painted. SHE loved it and looked so cute. We had a 6:50 ADR at Whispering Canyon and it was now almost 4:00pm so we decided to head back to the room, and rest for a bit before heading over. I had big plans, to monorail to MK, then Boat to WL for our reservation… however they were foiled when we got back to our room and DD and DH fell FAST asleep. I woke DH up and asked him, what to do, wake her and leave in the next few minutes or cancel… we decided to cancel, and let her have her rest. I was so disappointed to have to call and cancel WC, but I promised myself we were going to be flexible and not run her ragged.

After we’d decided not to go to WC, and I called to cancel, I decided to go get us some adult beverages. So I walked over to the bar and tried to order two drinks and they wouldn’t sell them to me. I could by one and come back for the second, or send DH back for the second. Well that wasn’t going to happen, so I strolled over to the gift shop and bought a bottle of wine and a bottle of scotch. I couldn’t buy two drinks from the bar, but could easily buy two whole bottles from the gift shop. :p I laughed to myself on the way out. DH & I enjoyed our cocktails and some snacks we’d brought with us, while waiting for DD to wake up. She woke up on her own at about 7:30 and decided she was hungry and ready to go, so we walked to the TTC and hoped the monorail to Epcot. No dinner plans, no problem we had an entire World Showcase we could eat from so that’s where we went. Plus we had missed illuminations the previous night, so it would work out perfectly. DH & DD wanted Yorkshire Fish & Chips, and they loved it. We found a little table in the courtyard across the way, it was a lot of fun. We felt like we were in a little hideaway away from all the commotion. After they finished we decided to wonder a bit while waiting for illuminations. I found some popcorn to snack on, and DH found a ½ yard of Guinness to sip while we watched. We enjoyed illuminations although I don’t think DD really cared one way or another, I think she really wanted to hit the rides.

After Illuminations we exited the park with the masses and got some great pictures of the Christmas lights on the archway leading to WS, that were perfectly choreographed to the Christmas music. We just watched for a bit, then continued out with the crowd. We leisurely made our way back to the monorail and back to our room to our comfy beds, and a second wonderful night sleep!

Up next: Day 3, Breakfast with Stitch, CRT & MVMCP!

So I believe it was now around 1:00PM and we step off the bus to that wonderful “Aloha” that I had come to love this past February. We had stayed 3 nights at the Shades of Green with family and walked over to catch the monorail at the Polynesian everyday. From the moment we first walked into the lobby I knew the Polynesian would be our first choice from then on out.

It’s just as I remember it as we walk into that wonderful lobby. I send DH & DD to go explore while I hope in the check in line. I watch DD and DH and can see they are enthralled with everything the Polynesian lobby has to offer, even though we’d been there before, we hadn’t stayed there before… it was like it was now OURS to enjoy. :goodvibes

There were very few people in line and I was almost immediately up to a wonderful CM who had the best news of all, our room is ready! 3rd floor non smoking, newly renovated in Rapa Nui! I almost fell over with disbelief. Check in goes easily and quickly and soon I’m off with keys to the world in hand. I’m bouncing when I get to DH & DD I can barely get the words out that our room is ready! I’d prepared them for the worst case scenario, a long wait, and possibly changing our clothes in the bathroom, and now the best case scenario our room is ready at 1:00pm and I got everything I asked for!!

We’re almost skipping along the path to Rapa Nui grinning from ear to ear… I just can’t believe our luck. Smell the flowers, look at the pools, smell the food from the Captain Cooks. Which reminds us we’re starving. We burst into our room and run in three different directions, one to the balcony, one to the bathroom, one to the beds!! Every aspect of the room was perfect, great flat screen plasma TV great balcony, overlooked part of the parking area, but more importantly the monorail whizzed right by constantly and what a thrill that was for DD to watch.

We sit still for about 30 seconds, loose a layer of clothes and run off to Captain Cooks to devour some lunch. I wasn’t expecting much after what read on the Disboards, but lunch was really really good! The fact that we were starving and so excited to be actually at the Polynesian may have had something to do with it. Who knows.

I had the Kalua Pork sandwich, DH had a Poly Chicken Basket, and DD had a kids hot dog meal with fries. All of our sandwiches came with French fries. I’m going from memory, but DD’s may have had apple sauce too. For deserts, we got a piece of carrot cake, a Mickey Ears Rice Crispy treat. And DD got like a huge frosted cupcake. Needless to say, she didn’t pay much attention to that hotdog meal… she wanted that dessert. She did eat most of her dog before we let her dig in. To complete our CS meals we got 2 waters and a large chocolate milk for DD. The bill was $31.85 we used 3 CS meals. First day, first HOUR and already I could see we’re going to get our monies worth out of the dining plan!

We were trying to eat light, since we have a 6pm Le Cellier reservation, but we just can’t help it. I do manage to only eat ½ of my sandwich and a couple fries before handing it off to DH. We agreed mine was the better choice. We stroll a little slower back to our rooms with our full bellies, and try to decide what to do. We decide on some time in the pool before heading to Epcot. So we get back to our room and I realize, I don’t have the bag with the bathing suits! OH great, in our rushing around this morning I didn’t grab that for a carry-on… so we sit and ponder, for about 5minutes and there is a knock at the door it was our luggage! WHO HOO salvation, I had bathing suits in the suitcases!! We quickly change and off we go to the pool. What fun, a beach side zero entry entrance with a pool side bar at one end and a deep end with a cool water slide and a waterfall. The slide was a blast DH went like 5 times in a row. DD didn’t go down she was a little leery once we told her it was dark inside the tunnel so we figured later in our trip she could try it if she wanted. We didn’t realize between the cold weather and being so busy, this was the only time in our trip we’d make it to the pool!

It’s getting late and we don’t want to rush around to make our ADR at Le Cellier, so we head back and shower and change and walk to the TTC to catch the monorail to Epcot. This worked so well for us. We could walk to the TTC in the same time it took us to go to the GCHouse and the resort monorail. Plus we didn’t have to get off and change monorails. We walked to the TTC dozens of times in those 6 days! LOL We made it to Epcot with time to spare it was still a warm beautiful evening, and the first thing we noticed were the Christmas decorations, it was all beautiful, and the Christmas music they were playing really put us in the mood. We walked right through to the WS, and we had some time to spare before checking in so we got a Moosehead from the booth in Canada to share and a water for DD. We got one of those high tables by the water and sipped our beer and DD danced to the Christmas music, it was such a great night. It didn’t matter how tired we were, we were there in the moment, and we were soaking it up. We went and checked in probably about 15minutes before our ADR time, and waited only about 10 minutes beyond, it seemed like a really long wait because we were standing, but one of the foolish waiters was out with a Rudolph nose on chasing the kids and teasing the adults that really helped the time pass.

Our name was finally called, and we were in and seated. Oh I could hardly wait for that Pretzel bread I’d heard so much about it and I’m such a bread person. We ordered some drinks a nice Ravenswood Zinfandel for me and a Martini for DH, Chocolate Milk for DD. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about he dining plan and very friendly. I heard all the reviews for the cheddar cheese soup and really wanted it, but DH & I decided we should get one Cheddar Cheese and one Beef Barley so we could try them both. She said your DD gets to order an adult app since we don’t offer kids apps. We ordered her the Grilled Beef Tenderloin skewer it was so good, served over like a cheddar polenta I could have made a meal out of that! Our DD would have loved it, had she tried it, however she was fast asleep with her head on my lap… like I said it had been a long day. I wasn’t even going to try and wake her up. J We ate like kings, asked for more pretzel bread right away. I ordered the Maple Barbeque glazed filet with cream cheese mashed potatoes. DH ordered the Mushroom filet with mushroom risotto. Then even though we were full to the brim we ordered the dessert (we wouldn’t have if not on the dining plan but when in Rome…) So we ordered a Chocolate “Moose” OMG SO CUTE to be packed up with our daughters meal to go back to the room, along with her chicken tenders dinner they had already packed up, and we ordered the chef’s sampler on recommendation from Robin our server. WOW chocolate whisky cake, crème brulee and a yummy sorbet. All were delicious. This meal was better than expected and I expected A LOT! The only disappointment, our server was a little slow with our beverages. Our bill was $126 and change … 3 TS credits, and $15.45 for our adult beverages oop. She only charged us for one round because she was so slow bringing us the second. That made up for the wait. ;) We were happy with her service overall and added extra tip.

It was time to wake DD and head out into the night, we expected to watch illuminations and let DD eat her dinner, but WOW, we walked outside an the temperature had dropped to 46 degrees!! We were freezing, I was in a skirt and short sleeve shirt and dh was also in shorts and short sleeves. I had a sweatshirt with me but we laid it over DD to keep her warm and RUSHED back to the monorail. We were the only ones on the platform and asked if we could ride up front. What a great experience at night, it was a first for us! We headed back to the room and DD ate most of her chicken dinner and most of her Chocolate Moose and DH & I suffered with our overfull bellies! I added up our receipts and found the total money that we would have spent for the day $157.85 (plus a couple waters as snacks in there too.)

Then the best part of the day, we laid down in those wonderful comfortable beds, and fell fast asleep. I’ve never slept so well in a hotel in my life! :cloud9:

Up Next: Day Two MGM & Whispering Canyon for Dinner Supposedly…

This I knew was going to be a busy day when I planned it, but this is how the ADR’s came together, so we’re going to make it work!

We have another early wake up from Stitch & Mickey this time DD is up waiting for it! We are showered dressed and off early to the Grand Ceremonial House and 7:30 ADR at ‘Ohana. When we arrive they take our name and give us a card to have our picture taken as a family. They inform us someone will be by the table with the pictures during our meal if we’re interested in them. We have just a short couple minute wait after the picture, our name is called and we head into the restaurant. We’re seated just one row back from the windows, and we’re looking out into a still dark morning over the lagoon and can see the lighted Grand Floridan and the spires of Space Mountain! It was really beautiful to watch the sun come up and daylight flood in around all of these cool sights.

Our waitress was really great, immediately brought us coffee, juice and a basket of breads and a plate of fresh fruits. My favorite were the little biscuits! The sweetbreads were good, I’m just not much of a sweet eater at breakfast. Our skillet was excellent, although for me the scrambled eggs were a little under done, but just the way DH & DD liked them. Right off the bat the characters started appearing and the restaurant was pretty empty so we got tons of interaction time. Mickey was the first one out and we were his second stop, he spent a good deal of time with DD, then out came Lilo, Stictch and Pluto. Everyone came by twice except Pluto. My DH is not a very Character interactive person, and of course Stitch went right to him and gave him a huge hug! I have the best picture, of DH with this HUGE smile hugging Stitch!! Overall the food was good, the character interaction was great, and we were very happy with our decision to attend. DH says that’s a must do from now on. The bill was $52.16 = 3 TS credits used. Oh and we bought the photo package which was $26.63 with tax. ;)

Our plan was to spend a leisurely day at the Polynesian since it was rainy and cool, then head to MK in time for our 2:40 CRT, and we were going to stay right through for MVMCP. That lasted all of about an hour, by 9:40 we were walking through the gates of the MK. :woohoo: We decided to head there for the day and leave after our CRT lunch then back in time for the party. We had a great day touring lines were very minimal we did everything we wanted to do, walked on splash with no wait, we FP BTMRR even though the standby line was only 10 minutes. We had a little time to kill before our ADR so we decided to do Cinderella’s carousel one more time. Well we’re start to step up on the platform and a woman was mounting her horse and swung her leg over and nailed DD right in the head! :headache: It hit her with such force it knocked her off the platform to the ground. It surprised the heck out of all of us. The woman felt terrible, and apologized profusely. DD wasn’t crying but I could tell she wanted to, her eyes were filling with tears, as I picked her up and carried her to a horse. She held it in as best she could although the tears were running silently down her face. :sad1: I felt so bad for her, I guess she was afraid if she cried she wouldn’t be able to ride. After the ride we made our way to the castle to check in and I took DD to the restroom to change into her dress, then I saw it, as I took her headband off (same sparkly ears she got at MGM on Monday) the teeth had cut into her head and was bleeding! OMG I felt so bad. We kept asking her if her head hurt and she said “I’m OK.” so I put a cold damp cloth on it, and she was more concerned with missing her turn with Cinderella. Off we go, our name had already been called while we were in the restroom so DH was impatiently waiting outside. She immediately forgets her sore head and jumps in line. DD has her picture taken with Cinderella which like this morning they will bring around to the table for purchase if we’d like. We head upstairs for our royal meal.

We are taken to the best table in the house :thumbsup2 up against the window looking over the Golden Carousel, DD proclaims it’s still her favorite ride while rubbing her sore head. J Almost immediately they bring us a plate of appetizers, one for DH & I to share and one for DD. If I had written this trip report closer to when we were there, I could have told you exactly what was on there. But now it’s a bit fuzzy. DD had fruit & cheese, veggies and ranch dip. Ours had fresh Mozzarella with a type of tomato marinara dip, I honestly can’t remember the rest, but most had seafood and DH enjoyed! DH & I both ordered the Major Domo Pie, both loved it. DD ordered a kids baked pasta, with tomato sauce and cheese. It was good, came with a nice little salad, but she hardly touched it. She ate enough to satisfy a small woodland creature and we didn’t press the issue. They brought us our desserts, the blueberry buckle thingy doo & lemon ice cream for DH & I and I think DD’s was a little ice cream with sauce and a chocolate crown on top, if memory serves me correctly. I think the ice cream made her head feel better. ;) They brought our photo package around, which of course we purchased for the bargain price of $31.90 with tax. Our meal bill was $76.95 = 3 more TS credits.

We left the castle satisfied and happy with our lunch. Well DH & I were full atleast, I think DD was asking for something else to eat as we were making our way down Main Street. We had back to the room to rest up for MVMCP… thinking a nap would be in order.

you had to pay for the CRT photos? I thought that was included in the price of the meal?

This is our main reason for coming we really wanted to experience this party, we love Christmas and we Love Disney what could be better to combine the two?

We last left you leaving the MK to head back to our rooms for a much needed rest. Hopefully a nap. Well DD wants no part of sleeping. So she and DH find some Disney cartoons to watch on TV and I catch up on my Passporter notes, and food reciepts all that jazz. DH & I enjoy an adult beverage in our room, while waiting to head back to the MK and MVMCP! DD is hungry of course and snacks on everything she can find. We figure if we're hungry we'll get CS at the party... but having a huge lunch at 2:40 DH & I knew we'd be pretty well set for the rest of the night.

My notes and memory are a little fuzzy about what time we headed over to the MK, but I know we arrived shortly before the snow started falling on Main Street. We pulled up a sidewalk and just enjoyed that and the sights and sounds for a few minutes. We had our picture taken by a PP Photographer on Main Street, but those never showed up :( Someone else probably has the three of us on theirs, going "WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE???" :teeth:

I have to say we really didn't ride much of anything, we had ridden so much druing the day earlier, we just didn't feel the need, we watched the Christmas show infont of the castle, enjoyed hot Cocoa and yummy cookies, had our Christmas picture taken. DD & DH rode Aladdin which she thought was way cool in the dark. :) She didn't want to ride anything else though, which surprised me since she'd ridden the Carosel 3 times earlier that day, and usually would be dying to get back on it. Maybe she was afraid of getting a foot in the head again I don't know. :confused3

We had the best time watching the carolers enjoying our hot cocoa, and DD enjyoing her Mickey Ice Cream bar, it really put us in the Christmas spirit. We found a great spot for the Christmas parade, and oh what a parade, I swear it lasted 45minutes! After we started making our way down Main Street doing a little shopping and then at the very end it was time for the Fireworks, so we watched right there in front of Main Street Confections... ofcourse it was the perfect opportunity for me to load up on yummy treats. :)

The fireworks were amazing but the noise was bothering DD so her and I spent the last half of the show in the Candy store. Oh don't get me wrong that was fun too. But Dh was disappointed that we missed some really cool stuff. After they ended we made our way out, and back to our room. We were still trying to stick to a some what relaxed touring plan.
We definitely enjoyed the party, but it would be an entirely different experience with an older child, or adults only, when you could take advantage of all the rides. But I have no complaints, this trip was all about DD and she was happy so we were happy! :cloud9:

They are included now, as of February 2006, when we were there in December it was the old way. HTH

Ya, she still says it's her favorite ride. And she takes horseback riding lessons every Monday so she really is back in the saddle! :lmao:

The Polynesian was awesome at Christmas!!! :lovestruc

What a wonderful report and so well written, when I was reading about your daughter and the carouseul incident my hand instinctively flew to my mouth in shock, I felt so bad for her :guilty: Will definately be waiting for the rest,
