For our December trip I noticed Epcot opens at 11 - is that correct? I remember the world showcase used to open later, but the rest of the park was nine?
Also I thought I heard something about early entry for deluxe hotel guests. Is that a thing or a rumor?

That is also correct. But they haven't been opening World Showcase at nine for a while now.

Early entry is for all WDW resort guests plus those staying at select offsite resorts. Extra Evening Hours are for deluxe resort guests only (plus SOG and S/D).

It's possible your hours may change before you go, but Epcot has opened at 11:00 more often than not this year.

Edit: All of Epcot now opens at the same time.

I would suggest you keep an eye on the times. AS others have said, they have been opening at 11 for most of the past year. However, they did dis have a day or two of 10 AM opening at the end of September.

Agree. Park hours change. One trip (pre Covid), I checked hours the night before and realized MK opened at 8am instead of 9am. Not many people got that memo- and we went on many rides!!
