???'s about Contemporary rooms

MelsMice---Thanks for the tips! We are SoGers who will be at CR in Sept. I'm glad it worked out well.

The ground floor rooms w/ views of Bay Lake are reserved for those who booked the "guaranteed pool view" rooms through SoG (the additional $10/night) according to the SoG reservations agents I spoke w/ about a month ago. However, I don't really know how many rooms this actually is on the ground floor.

Just wanted to let everyone know, as it might explain why ground floor requests might not be able to be accommodated.

According to a post by FirstNo (who works at SoG) some time ago, SoG has all of the 2nd and 3rd floors and about 70 rooms on the ground floor. As stated above, some of these are those which front onto Bay Lake (the rooms furthest away from the Tower) and those folks who reserved the $10 extra poolside rooms will get these (not sure I'd like that). Because SoG doesn't have all of the first floor, and several of the first floor rooms are reserved for "poolside" views, there will be much fewer of these rooms available. But then again, most folks don't bother to make those types of room requests, so nothing wrong with asking.
