Rx drugs in carry-on

I have umpteen prescriptions meds that I will need to carry with me on my trip. Most of them I get a 3 month supply thru mailorder which means that they come in large bottles. I even have one that comes 9 pills in a HUGE cardboard tri-fold package.

Do I need to carry all of my Rxs in the orginal containers or can I downsize and/or mix them all in one bottle?

Do I even really need to worry about this? Obviously the screeners are going to think I'm a hypochondriac (sp?) but are they going to question what the meds are?

Thanks

I always take the number of prescription pills that I need and leave the rest at home. I have never had a problem. I basically just have allergy meds, but if you have a narcotic type drug, I would take it in its original container.

I would keep them in the Rx bottle, it may take up more room but it will save hassle, you would want to be held up you security for it, I used to work for a woman that took oxicontin and they told her to always keep it in the Rx bottle when traveling, so she would have the proof that she has the right to have those pills.

Here is what I do. I carry my drugs in a little case. I also have the extra label that comes with my prescription with me. I have never had any problems.
