Does anyone know where I can find a menu with prices on it for Ruth's Chris Steak House? The menu on there web site does not have prices.

It probably varies a little for each location. Perhaps you can call your local one and they can fax you a menu/price list.

If you have to pay attention to prices, at that particular chain you cannot afford to eat there.

It's pricey, but it is DF's absolute favorite. Nothing relaxes him after a long flight like dinner at Ruth's. We've been to at least a dozen and never have we been disappointed in the food or the service. We can easily spend $200 just the two of us if we have wine, which we do unless he flies within 12 hours. Steaks range from $24 to $39 or so, lobster is market priced ($$$ than beef) as is fresh fish, and sides are extra ($6 or $8 depending on city) but we usually split a baked potato and split an order of creamed spinach and/or broiled tomatoes. We also split a dessert and sip coffee.

Pricey but worth every penny. :)

We've eaten at the one in Las Vegas and I agree with the other posters, it is very good but very pricey. Everything is individually priced (no complete dinners). We also had very good service.

That's so people don't fall over when they see just how much that slice of beef is gonna cost them!!! :lmao:
Personally, I don't think that Ruth Chris or Charley's Steakhouse is worth the extra money. I can find just as good a filet at Logan's or Longhorns.

We've never been to Ruth's Chris. We don't eat red meat so we generally avoid steakhouses. We did, however, got stuck having dinner at Shula's one time with a large group. Shula's is very similar in menu, serving sizes and prices to Ruth's Chris. The food was very good. The service was excellent. They also had those $7.50 baked potatoes. My wife and I shared the chicken dinner and the 3 of us shared one potato. I don't recall what else DD ate but it was probably some of our chicken and another side we all shared.

Been to Shula's, not even in the same ballpark as Ruth Chris's IMOP.

DH and I usually go there once a year for our anniversary. Our bill is usually between $100-150.00 for the 2 of us, but worth every penny. :thumbsup2

Food and service - both excellent. Prices will scare you! I took DH for Valentine's day 2006. We've also been to Emeril's in Orlando. Food and service, also excellent - prices lower that Ruth's Chris, more variety.

While both are wonderful, we'll only do Emeril's again unless we hit the lottery!

We had a gift card and went the other night. It was our first time in almost a year, but I really do love their steaks. We had one drink each, split an appetizer, a small steak each, split a potato, split a vegetable, DH had a salad, and we each had a dessert. It was $120 before tip. I love the hot plates that continue to cook the steak.

I won a $200 gift card to Ruth Chris from a drug rep. DH and I easily spent it on dinner for 2 and a few cocktails.

It was great, and not paying for it was even better!

DH has been doing a rewards program for a year from a gas station just to earn enough points to eat there for our aniversary!

as if the prices weren't high enough its ala cart. WOW.
Glad we don't have one of these close by.

A couple of times, I've been given a Ruth's Chris gift card by someone who didn't know me very well. One time I gave it away. The other times I sold them on ebay, one just last month actually. I got $99.01 for a $100 GC which I was quite happy with. So if you ever get a GC and don't really care about eating there, ebay is a great choice.

We've eaten there once and personally we didn't care for it. We went for our anniversary. I didn't like that the steak came on a sizzling platter filled with butter. I didn't really see the need for all that butter???? I see on the menu that was posted that we could have asked for none, but at the time we did not know that. And I don't recall seeing it on the menu before we ordered. But then again, it was dark and we were cramped in a corner and rushed to order?? :confused3

Remember here EVERYTHING is a side order. Your entree ONLY comes with the steak (or whatever main item you order). The potatoes are extra. But they are huge. I've never seen potatoes that big. None of the vegetables excited me so I didn't get one. But I saw a few and those were big enough to share too.

I'm happy just going to Outback or Lone Star. Although we do like to go out to nicer restaurants too. I just wouldn't pick Ruth's as one of those restaurants if I were going to spend the money.

After looking at those prices, I now know why I have not eaten there.

I had the same thought. IMHO it's obscenely expensive for what you get.

Again, I haven't been there but have been to Shula's which is similarly priced. If Ruth's Chris is similar, the meals are huge and easily shared with room to spare. At Shula's, DW and I shared a chicken dinner and a baked potato, so doing the same at Ruth's Chris would cost $30.45 for dinner for 2, really not so bad. Add an order of spinach or asparagus and we're still under $40.00. We would never go to a place like this and order two full meals, not just due to price but because it would be entirely too much food.

I thought at Shulas there was a fee to share?

I'm not sure about Ruth's.
