Ruth & James 10/04/11 *~* TR Day 7 updated 03/11 *~*

We are only 86 days away from flying to WDW.

I am starting to get excited and nervous - I actually started handing out my reception invites!

Well at somepoint I'm going to have to go back to that bridal shop to pick up my wedding dress. I also need to pick up my veil/underskirt. If you read one of my older posts you'll know I didn't exactly have the most pleasantest of experiences when I went for my fitting.

At the time of my fitting for some reason my veil and underskirt hadn't been sent over to them, so we decided to leave my dress there until the time I could pick up all 3 things.

They told me I'd get a phone call when the veil and underskirt arrived. This was back in April, it is now July and no phone call. So today because I'm off from work I decided to give them a call.

The nice lady on the phone checked for me and told me that there were no veils under my name and she only had the dress there. They weren't expecting a veil/underskirt. :scared1:

After I explained that I have the receipt infront of me with the order number on she said she'd call me back.

2 hours later she called me back and said 'they're all here, we left you a phone message in may,"

Yes of course you did. I'm pretty sure my phone hasn't got an answer phone on it. :headache:

They didn't even phone me to say my dress had arrived so I'm not convinced they phoned me to tell me that my veil had arrived. I was on the verge of having a little panic to myself - not bad for someone who didn't want a veil :rotfl:

I honestly can't wait to get my dress and things from them. Then I'll know they're mine and in safe keeping. I thought buying your dress and accessories was supposed to be fun but people keep talking to me like they don't care. Not very professional! Argh.

Umm a little off topic... but I think I'm stressing more then I care to let on. twice in the past week I've had weird dreams. In the first one I was at my parents house getting ready for the wedding, but I wasn't in my wedding dress, I was in a horrible purple dress because James had a hissy fit about us not having purple in the wedding. Then I decided I hated the purple dress and asked my Dad to fetch my wedding dress but he said he couldn't. He said he'd had too much to drink. Then I woke up....

My next dream I dreamt I was in Disney and was in a panic because I'd left my shoes, tiara, necklace and earring behind at home in the UK - I only noticed this the day before the wedding. Next thing I'm running round Paris with a workmate trying to find shoes. :confused3

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come... :rotfl:

GAH!!!!! What the heck is up with bridal shops?!?!? They are all awful. Absolutely awful!!!! :(

And I'm so sorry you've been having wedding nightmares. I've had a handful already--- I thinkkkkk they're normal? I hope they are anyway! :lmao:

Awwww man!!! There's so many people having crazy experiences with bridal shops! But atleast it's all in. Although I'm sure a phone call would have been nice!!

I'm starting to have wedding nightmares too! The closer it gets the more anxious I get! I hope it all gets better, and it's not a sign of things to come!

You'd think that working in the Bridal industry they'd be a little cheerier, they're helping women find their dream dresses. Maybe it's a case of always the brides dress maker never the bride? ;)
As long as it's not just me having nightmares it's ok. Maybe group therepy is in order? :rotfl:

I'm glad it's all in, one less thing to worry about - still 100s more things though :goodvibes

You haven't got long left, on a scale of 1 - 10 how anxious are you? I'm starting to get very edgy, I'm a crazy worrier x

On a scale of 1-10, probably a million. I'm not sure what has happened, but over the last 2 weeks I've had so much anxiety about the wedding. Maybe it was all of the dress drama. I keep thinking about it all every single day. Even Brian noticed and keeps telling me to calm down. I'm so ready for the day to just get here already!

Grrr about the wedding shop! How frustrating! And as for wedding nightmares, I didn't have a single one before the wedding, but then I had several the week after it was over! :confused3

We (well James did...:rotfl:) have just paid off our wedding!! Go bananas!:banana::banana:

76 days to go... and I'm still practicing walking in my shoes (as I'm cleaning the apartment whilst listening to Disney music I might add). I'm not brilliant in heels and I'm so worried that I'm going to make a spectacle of myself as I walk down the aisle. :rotfl2:

Also I had another dream the other night.... I dreamt that I really really wanted strawberry soup. :confused3

Bit of a boring update really.. but I don't think anyone other then the DIS would understand about the strawberry soup...oh and the paying off of the wedding .;)

We're now 60 days away from flying to WDW. I'm so excited...

At work we are giving away Disney magical moments cards for every £30 spent and over the radio they have been playing Disney songs :lovestruc It's so wonderful to hear whilst being at work, it's getting me in the mood for October.

Any way, today I found my garter - thank you Ebay! It's going to be personalised with our names.

Also I have brought a teal flower to go on my park dress because I hated the black flower.

My online shopping didn't end there because I also found a really cool 'suit' t-shirt for James. Can't really put a pic up because he hasn't seen it yet. :goodvibes

My big stress at the minute is trying to find time to go pick up my dress, I really can't wait to have it in my possession.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding :) I just started reading because I hope to get married in Disney someday! I love the colors you are using!

Hi guys, quick update...

James went to get measured for his suit today. We registered at this particular hire shop months ago and when we got there today the whole shop was decked out in closing down signs. :headache:

Just aswell there are other branches we can go to so we can pick up the suits. FIL had already been to a branch near where he lived and the shop already had his measurements on file, problem was they were on James' file not his own. After alot of the swapping of information James had his measurements taken.

On the subjects of suits when FIL went to get his measurements done, they informed him that he was unable to have a full waistcoat. He is going to have to have an elastic strap at back instead of full fabric (if that made any sense at all :rotfl:)

Anyhoo... The suit, waistcoat and cravat. Sorry about the small pics.

They all look good together and it was a pleasant suprise finding out that they did teal cravats. They didn't make them last time we went so I was a little bit worried about getting my hands on three teal cravats.

Just got to wait for my dad to get his measurements done and thats another job done. :teeth:

Just finished reading through your PJ! What a great proposal!

Sorry the Bridal Shop and Tux place were so stupid! Don't they know that weddings are stressful enough without their added shenanigans?!

Everything looks so beautiful! I'm so excited to know another Bride that will be in WDW at the same time! It's going to take a lot of will power to not stalk the wedding pavilion on your wedding day! Tee hee! I'd probably drag my DF along and then squeal in excitement, "That's Ruth!!! Look honey! Look! I know her! Well, not really... but I know her!". :rotfl:

When are you flying into Disney? We're coming in on Friday, Sept 30th. So just tell your nightmares not to worry! If you forget anything, I'm available to help with last minute power shopping! See, now that you have a back-up plan you won't forget anything. :thumbsup2

Oohhh I love tuxedos. Good choices!!! :thumbsup2 You must be getting SO, intolerably excited.

Thank you :goodvibes I am very excited, I can't really give an acurate description as to just how excited I am lol.

Thank you for reading! Stalk away, lol I honestly think I'd get a real kick out of having someone stalk my wedding :rotfl: It is exciting to think there is more then just me about to have a Disney wedding wandering around.

Oh yeah.. we fly out on the 30th too. I'm going to be so fidgety on the 9 hours flight :lmao:

Ruth sweetie - I am all caught up and loving everything!!! This is going to be a very pretty wedding!!

Just a quick update...

2 of the things I ordered from online arrived. I'm like a child at christmas when packages arrive so I got a little excited.

The first one I opened was the flower for my park dress. I personally think it's pretty.

The second one I opened was the t-shirt I order for james.

Also today I emailed Tanis with an enquiry about our cake. We picked the modern deco and we would like to have the brown trim done in a teal colour.
EscapeCakes-1-1.jpg

After reading alot on the forums about poor photography I started to feel anxious. I'm a natural worrier to begin with but after reading about unhappy Disbrides I feel uneasy. Photos are important to me so I don't want any half hearted crappy ones.

We can't fit an outside photographer into our budget, so we have to make do with DPS. When I emailed Tanis I also asked if we could request Regina or Amy for both the ceremony & our MK shoot. I know it's not 100% garanteed who you get but it can't do any harm to ask right?? :confused3

On a good side to the subject of photos, James and I have discussed where we want photos taken from during the Mk shoot. It's fun talking about it with someone who is bothered about it. Work friends just don't understand :lmao:

I can't wait for sept 30th to arrive :teeth:

The flower is beautiful!!!

I love the art deco cake! I'm sure it will be gorgeous in brown and teal!

From what I have gathered, it seems that most people who have problems with Disney Photography have problems because they hired an additional outside photographer. I have heard a lot of good things about Disney Photography from brides that only used Disney Photography. So, I'm sure your pictures will be just wonderful!!! :goodvibes

I can't believe how close we are to our big day!

Everything is sorted and finalised. Our BEO arrived a while back and everything is presant and correct. Just got to pick up my dress and the suits.

I'm so excited! I'm that excited that I sat down and started to plan our 2 weeks in WDW. I never plan anything! :rotfl: I think I'm starting to drive James nuts ;)

Our plan isn't exact because we always change our minds, but at the minute this is our (rather sketchy) plan....

Friday 30th: We arrive and check in at POP.
Saturday 1st: Magic Kingdom day and girls night out at the Dessert Party.
Sunday 2nd: Lunch at Nine Dragons restaurant and MNSSHP at night.
Monday 3rd: Possible Animal Kingdom in morning and Magic Kingdom in the afternoon/evening. Early to bed!
Tuesday 4th: Wedding Day!! :bride: :groom:
Wednesday 5th: Animal Kingdom morning and Epcot in the afternoon/evening.
Thursday 6th: Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure
Friday 7th: Typhoon Lagoon for a chill out. Probably Hollywood Studios in the afternoon/evening.
Saturday 8th: MK Photoshoot in the morning and Epcot in the evening. Le Celliers for dinner.
Sunday 9th: Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. Magic Kingdom at night for EMH.
Monday 10th: Sea World then Hollywood Studios.
Tuesday 11th: Epcot & Akershus for lunch. End the day with the Haunted Carriage ride.
Wednesday 12th: Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. Probably Epcot afterwards.
Thursday 13: Our last full day will probably be a Magic Kingdom day.
Friday 14th: Chill out at resort and Down Town Disney before flying home.

It'll probably change because we usually like to wing it.

anyway 32 days till we fly! :goodvibes

Ruth sweetie - Yay for being so close!!!! You must be all excitement!!
