Great Hen Night pics. I love your snow white dress. Are you going to take it with you and wear it to MNSSHP? I really think you should. Our initial plan was to wear our wedding outfits for it but now I am toying with the idea of a corpse bride costume.

thank you Claire. The Snow White costume was originally brought for MNSSHP. I was going to have a Batgirl costume for my hen night but couldn't really afford both costumes so Snow White won. Unfortunately I need to do a bit of repair work on it because some idiot flicked a cigarette butt at me & it burnt a hole near my stomach. I have tiny burn marks on my skin as souvinir :rolleyes:

You should deffinately go as the corpse bride. There are some pretty cool costumes out there. I got one off line last year, I wore it for Halloween. what night are you doing MNSSHP? I think I remember you saying you were doing it on the 11th? xx

Hey guys.... not really an update just a mini-vent.

As you all know we are having an Escape wedding in Disney. It's what we want and it may sound/be selfish but thats what we're doing. We only invited immediate family. We came back from Florida feb 2010 and about a month or two later we finally decided on having the wedding in WDW.

Plenty of notice and warning? I'd say so lol

All my family knew I was getting married in WDW. Some didn't understand it and some still dont. (My Uncle got upset when he recieved an invite for the reception but not the big day, despite being told we were going away to get married, he completely forgot :headache:

)

Around New Year time my only brother decided he wasn't coming because he was going to someone elses wedding. I should add to this that he still hasn't told me he's not coming. On my birthday 9 of us went out for dinner and when I went to the toilet he announced to everyone then that he wasn't coming. Nice. I've decided that fine, I just wish he would tell me to my face. That annoys me more than him not coming.

I am now left wonderering if there is something wrong me with... am I some bridezilla? :goodvibes

People (and I mean family) don't seem able to tell me stuff to my face. I sent out invites months ago, they even had my number & email on them..... so why am I getting messages off my Auntys daughter telling me my Aunty isn't coming to my reception? My Aunty isn't coming because she's working, as are two of her kids.

Working?! Freaking working?! <--- that was more or less my response :rotfl:

Family or work? family or work? Hmmm yep it's a toughy!

As soon as I saw the message I phoned my mum, something I don't do often because I see her nearly eveyday at my work place anyway. She puts it down to jealousy and resentment. I was a bridesmaid at her daughters wedding and I haven't returned the 'favor'.

This all my not sound like much but this year pretty sums up my family. I can't and don't really want to go into much but alot of stuff centers around my grandad dying back in feb and to be honest it's all a mess - which is why I'm going to WDW to do it. If I went into detail I can honestly say I'd need a whole new journal

So to all those people in my family who have better things to do then support me and James in the happiest time of our lifes 'go do one'! The important people will be there

any hoo... on a weddingy note I got in contact with Lori Loftis of Loftis Productions and they will be steaming the great mass of fabric that is my beautiful dress! Thank you Joanne xx

and on a very very excitable note I only have 6 shifts left at work! :woohoo:

Ah, families make my blood boil and I completely understand how you are feeling. Please do not think of yourself as Bridezilla for one second. At the end of the day it is your wedding and you are both absolutely within your rights to marry where you choose. Unfortunately,as I have discovered too, there are plenty of people out there who don't like it when they are not the centre of attention. It sounds like a big case of jealousy honey and don't waste another minute of your precious planning time worrying about it. :hug:

You aren't a Bridezilla at all. This is your day, you should be able to do what you want. If they can't make it, tough.

My family is just as difficult (and rude). It really hurts sometimes, but just remember that in the end, the only thing that matters is that you're marrying the love of your life at the happiest place on Earth!!

I am sorry that you had to deal with all the family trouble!! What does your aunt do for work, and how much notice has she had about the reception? I just had to turn down an invitation to my BIL's 50th birthday party as we can only ever have two people at a time on leave and two other people have already booked leave on that day. So, I have a night shift on the evening of the party which I cannot get out of. I know my SIL is not best pleased with me, but I keep telling the family that I need plenty of notice about these things.
If your aunt and cousins have had plenty of notice, or are in a job where they can easily get time off, there is absolutely no excuse at all!!
You must be all excitement - you are so close!!! :yay:

It's getting so close! Can you believe that we'll be on a plane in just 4 days!! I'm so excited I could burst! :banana:

Hi fellow brides!

This will be a short update, we're at a hotel in manchester & I'm trying to type on a phone.

Unfortunatley I didn't have time to update before we went - can't believe how quickly time has flown!!

So on tuesday I finished work, my fab colleagues gave us cards, flowers & various other things. Once we're back I'll post piccies!

Yesterday we were a little sad because we dropped off pascal, link & ezio. It was weird walking into our spare room with them gone lol

also our just married buttons arrived! - I caved in & ebayed them

finally as exciting as it is I had my hair dyed this morning

umm so that's it really!

Thank you to all you fabulous brides for your advice and support & we'll be back in 2 weeks!!

Also to my fellow brides getting married next week I hope you all have an amazing time xxxx
