We have been back for a few weeks now, have the post-holiday blues so thought I would post about our trip :-) This is where we were at a month before the holiday....

I'm Ruth, 35, and I work as an Operating Department Practitioner in a hospital near Liverpool. If you don't know what that is, don't worry as neither do any car insurance companies, and 99% of the NHS! I went to WDW twice in the 1980s, then for a day to Disneyland in 2002 which started a Disney addiction... I have now been to Disneyland Paris 13 times including honeymoon, and as we have a time-share near there we will probably be there at least once a year for the foreseeable future.

Richard is 37, and also works within the NHS, although at a different hospital. He was first introduced to Disney on our honeymoon to DLP, and although he isn't as in to the whole thing as I am is up for any trip that a) makes me happy and b) has lots of food!

This was us on our wedding day 18 months ago.

We sailed on the EBTA on Disney Magic in 2013 which introduced us to cruising. The Disney EBTA 2014 did not suit us date wise (as it is over May half term) so we looked in to other options. As a result, we are sailing on the Norwegian Epic from Miami on 27th April, with four nights in Orlando beforehand.

Our initial plan is

Tuesday 22nd April - finish work, then get in the holiday mood watching Singing in the Rain in Liverpool

Wednesday 23rd April - Drive to Manchester Airport then meet and greet parking will whisk our car away while we check in for VS075 flight to Orlando. When we arrive we have booked a shared transfer to the Rosen Inn International for 4 nights. A quick dinner in one of the nearby eateries will probably be as much as we can manage that evening.

Thursday 24th April - collect hire car on I-Drive at 8am, then off to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Dinner somewhere at some time, depending on level of jet lag!

Friday -day at Magic Kingdom

Saturday - Day at Epcot or HS, dependant on what we didn't get done before. Dinner at the Pirate's Dinner adventure... one of our table mates from our 2013 cruise is a stunt man, and is a Pirate!

Sunday - drop off hire car, coach to Miami then board the Norweigan Epic for 11 nights. Then from Barclona to Blighty, then back to work :-(

Still to do...

Book hire car... we were hoping to use public transport and/or shuttles, but with just three days to fit everything in we prefer the flexibility to do our own thing

Disney tickets - MYW 3 day base tickets. Concidering just picking them up at the park as they don't seem any cheaper anywhere else, but would there be big queues?

ADRs - still looking at which restaurants to try, if any. We will be doing a lot of eating on the cruise, so may just stick to counter service and off site options to save spends/caolories!

We hope to use this trip as a taster for Orlando... if we enjoy, we will be back!
