Rush

DS saw them last year or year before. He might have been to 2 of their concerts. He loved it and would love to go again, but ticket prices have been much higher since the first time he went. I was able to find very inexpensive tix for that one. Not so much anymore.

I saw them a couple years back. They put on a great show. Geddy Lee rocks my world :cool2:

You are in for a HUGE treat! This concert rocked beyond my wildest dreams. I took my son (18) and he was in awe. It was SO good that when we got home and I told my husband about it we bought tickets to see it AGAIN!!

I have seen them many times in the past and this concert was hands down the best!

Pay close attention to the short films played through out the concert and don't be late.

I hope you enjoy it half as much as I did! :thumbsup2

Ohhh I just looked, you are seeing them at The Garden! :thumbsup2 I saw them at Jones Beach.

Haven't seen them in years, but they put on a great show. Looking forward to your review.:)

Yes, it was at MSG last night.... All I can say is :worship: LOL!
I had seen them on the Roll The Bones tour, but, that was almost 20 years ago.

Neil Peart... *sigh*... drum solo! OMG... But Geddy and Alex really shredded too.

They went on about 8:15. No opening act. The films were hilarious! They played for about an hour, then took a 20 minute intermission, then played all of Moving Pictures, then a few new songs. We left at around 10:55 and they were still going. We had to make the 11:40 train out of GCT or wait for the 12:18. We had a sitter with the kids and we all had to go to work this am, so the later train would have been killer in the morning.

my hubby's favorite band!

we saw them in '08 in NOLA.

then last october they ended up being in tampa the night before we were going to disney. so we ended up leaving a day earlier and seeing them. they were great! the woman behind us told us at least 10 times her first concert was in 1975 and rush opened for aerosmith. she was coherent talking to us, but she told us that same thing ever few minutes. it's now our favorite thing to say.

we have tickets for june 10 at the new orleans arena.

they are growing on me, not as much as my goo goo dolls, but they're ok.

I think maybe "Roll The Bones" was the last time I saw them too! Rush has several live DVDs so you can re-live the experience without worrying about catching the last train home. Also the documentary that came out last year is unusually good for this type of thing.:)

They put on an awesome show... I had third row seats for the "Roll the Bones" concert in Atlanta and I'll never forget when Alex threw his guitar pick to me. I still have it. :lovestruc

Would love to see them! maybe a quick trip to the UK and I could see them in Sheffield....:rotfl:

Going to see them on Friday in Cleveland with my 11-year old son. It will be his third Rush show. They will be filming for a new live DVD.

At his first show, when he was eight, I had a half dozen different people approach me to tell me what a good job I was doing raising my son...

:rockband:

I was thinking the same thing...saw them 30 odd years ago. Now I feel old!! :sad2:

I've seen Rush maybe a dozen times from the late 70s through the mid 90s. They always put on an awesome show.

I really haven't been paying attention to them for the past ten years, though.
Would feel kinda old going to see them now, but I'm sure they still have lots of fans my age (early 50s) or older.

Hope you enjoyed the show.

I'll look for you there! We're taking our nearly-11-year-old and 8 year old sons for their first concert! (DS8 went to see Peter Gabriel with us when he was 3 weeks old, but I don't think he remembers much...;)). DH has been to every tour that's come to Cleveland (or Buffalo when we were in college) in the 20 years that I have known him. He wanted our boys to have 'Geddy Lee' or 'Neal Peart' as their middle names. (they don't!) All three boys are very excited.

I should note that I saw the documentary Behind the Lighted Stage, which is what prompted me to get the tickets! If you are a Rush fan and haven't seen it yet, see it! I got it from Netflix.
