Did anyone else watch RuPaul's Drag Race?

I have to say, I'm kind of loving it!:cheer2:

Not sure how the rest of the episodes will play out, but the first one had elements stolen from Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, and Make me a Supermodel for the Drag contestants to overcome.

I was expecting it to be lame, but it really worked. And the added "Lip Synch for Your Life" element is a total hoot!:rotfl2:

I wish that Victoria "Pork Chop" Parker could have stayed longer. There were certainly a couple of other DQs I'd rather have seen "Sashay Away"

So . . . am I the only one? What did everyone (ANYone) else think?

When is it on?

I finally finished Prayers for Bobby, and just did a "Whatever Martha" marathon!

The DVR is empty and ready to go! :thumbsup2

It aired on Logo last night at 10pm Eastern.

Here's what's listed on Logo's site about re-broadcasts

Wed 02/04 8:00 AM
Wed 02/04 6:30 PM
Thu 02/05 8:00 PM
Fri 02/06 12:30 PM
Sat 02/07 11:00 PM

(I excluded today's because they've already aired.)

They'll also show this week's episode next week at 9pm before next week's episode airs at 10pm. (But I'm not going to miss Heroes for this, no matter how much fun it was! :rotfl2: )

We don't have LOGO ... stupid Dish Network!

Shoot! I was going to record that and totally forgot.

Luckily, LOGO is notorious for playing every episode of every show over and over and over and over and over.......

One of the things I hate about the channel, but this time I'm happy that they repeat things constantly.

Will we laugh? :teeth:

I'm more than over LOGO for a number of reasons, but we'll check it out. Love RuPaul, so hopefully this will be a good show. :goodvibes

Thanks for the info.

It was funny as heck!

Rupaul: "It's time for you to Lip Sync for your life. Don't **** it up!"

:thumbsup2 Sounds good! We'll be checking it out. Thanks!

You can also watch it on the logo website. Just saw an interview with Rupaul on CNN...I've never seen her out of drag before! It was a bit surreal.

We watched it too. It was a lot of fun to watch, and as you said, a real hoot. It certainly does look like it was made on a $500 budget, but that didn't bother me. We've seen Shannel perform many times over the years here in Vegas. She is really good in person, although on TV he is coming across very cocky. I also didn't want to see Victoria go first. Should be a fun few weeks of TV!

I've just discovered that the "Project Rungay" boys are blogging this series!

Their first post is a riot!

Oh, this is going to be some FIERCE entertainment! :lmao:

Did anyone else laugh at the criteria for the judging on this show?

charisma, uniquness, nerve, and talent

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

We loved it! It was really funny and they are all so good!

My only complaint.......it needs some Kings!:thumbsup2

Already got the DVR set for #2! :thumbsup2

"Put the stiletto to the metal girls!" :rotfl2:

But why is the big girl always the first to go! That Baby Jane gal should have gone home!

"Hello Johnsons? I need to place an order!!"

Ya really have to take a drag off of a cigarette to make that line work! :lmao:

I don't know, I thought you pulled it off.

Wait, that didn't sound right. :scared1:

Ok, I'm in, I love a good 'show.' :happytv:

I'll have to catch the first one right before the second one airs.

Who else watched Episode two?

It was a trainwreck! A delicious, delicious trainwreck!

In my (no so) humble opinion, it is past time for Akashia to sashay away . . .

. . . through rush hour traffic . . .

. . . and off of a pier . . .

. . . into a lagoon filled with starving bloodthirsty pirhanas.

Clearly, she's decided to be this show's "b word" contestant. Which would be interesting if she could back it up. But she's lazy, arrogant, and untalented. The merciful thing would be to have her taken out back and shot to put her out of my misery.

Shanelle is emerging as my favorite. (Anyone else think she looks like Kirstie Alley?)

Nina Flowers is coming across as terribly whiny.

And little miss "I don't tuck and I don't wear wigs" Ongina, needs to realize that would be the reason that he comes across as a boy in a dress, not as a drag queen.

Interestingly enough, the drag queen I thought should be sent home last week, was the one that I was sorry to see go this week. They really beat down poor Miss Tammy Brown in the episode. Still, she gave up, so buh-bye. At least Akashia wants to be there. I mean, she "took off work" and all. :rotfl2:
