I enjoyed the movie but I didn't feel it was as good as it should have been. Considering they pushed it back so I was expecting it to be a lot better than it actually was. I felt a little letdown to be honest.

For those who thought the movie was a letdown...wasn't the book for you too? I have NOT seen the movie yet, but re-read the book this week for refresh on the story...and remembered that I thought this book was ok...but really just a filler until the big finale.
Order of the Phx was such a good book and full of action/things progressing...HBP wasn't really except for the end...which if the movie cut short...then whats left really.
I am rereading the last book too...just started...now THAT will be a movie.

I think that they did the blowing up of the Burrow thing to show how much Ginny cared about Harry. Because is the book, you can tell. How she always was stuttering around him, and running away. They didn't show that in the movies. Other than that. The only other reason I can think of is to show how villainous the Death Eaters are.

Actually, the 6th and 7th books are my favorites! I was disappointed that they cut most of the end out of the movie and felt they could have done a better job with Dumbledore's death scene. There was a lot of stuff they left in there that I think was complete overkill (ie Ron and Lavender). It didn't annoy me in the book but in the movie it was just like, enough already! Plus they cut out characters completely which leads me to believe they're going to do the same thing in the movies about the 7th book...

I think my expectations were just too high.

My hair is great--although its pretty funny we cut off 1 inch about right.. well it grew about 3 inches LOL! seriously im like WHY is my hair growing so fast haha ..

That is true. They don't show that in the movies. I also heard that the director wanted to save the battle at hogwarts for the 7th movie. Well there is a battle in both so I don't get that. lol

Hey Katie Thank you so much for asking. It is going well and I'm doing great. This class is a great refresher for me lol! I forgot how to do all that math stuff. I did not like it when I was younger, but now I do. I think it's because I'm determined to do well in math. I can't wait for the fall to start.

Hey guys. How are you all doing? Hope everybody is having a great summer.

I want to share a couple pics with you guys. They are from the beach. We went yesterday and had a great time. I LOVE the ocean. I was out in the water for about an hour.

Finally...I saw HP on Friday. I really loved the movie as a movie. But I was a bit disappointed that it strayed from the book. WARNING...SPOILERS!!! I loved, loved, LOVED Bill and Fleur and they were nowhere to be found. I really hope they at least bring them out for the seventh movies. I'd be really disappointed it they left out the wedding scene. I was also bummed they left out Dumbledore's funeral. But overall, I really did like the movie.

Did I see that you are reading the Twilight series? They sucked me in like HP did. I'm addicted!! You have to read "Midnight Sun". It's the partial draft of the book she was doing through Edward's perspective...SWOON!!

Hey Lynn, just found your new pretrip, I love the Beach photos, is that Seaside Heights, my grandfather had a house in Pine Beach and we would spend every summer down there.

We stayed in SSR for the 1st time in May and loved it, I wasn't so sure staying there because of the size but we loved it.

LOL really?! We just missed each other by 1 day, wouldn't it have been funny to see you in a casino or out on the boardwalk and go "OMG I KNOW that person.. but wait .. from where..DIS BOARDS!" LOL!!

We wanted to 'relax' so we actually took a bus from the Allentown/Bethlehem,PA area, it was sooo nice.. cheap tickets plus we got slot play as well! We usually love driving..to all our places we go to.. but this was soooo nice! We mainly played at Showboat because thats where we got our free play.. we ate at Rainforest, which sadly everyone is *NOT* like the one in Disney at Downtown&Animal Kingdom... we were SO disappointed with the meal, I wish I would have said something. My BF said we would have even been better of just having the buffet Which I completely agreed with.. I made reservations at Rainforest because the food has always been SO good down in FL, and man it was FAR from it! I love the atmosphere.. but soo yucky food! What was I thinking? LOL anything that reminds me of Disney I try to do, and our lil' trip down was for his birthday which was the day before 7/15! We would have loved to stay over but with Disney coming up in October we need all the $$$ haha... ill post a picture later.. but hope you had fun in AC! Win anything? We didnt boo!! LOL

I would have thought it was so cool to see someone from the Dis! We stayed at the Tropicana so we only played in the casino there. My dad got 2 free rooms so we went with them. They actually stayed until the 16th but my BF couldn't get off from work that day so we had to leave the 15th. Funny that you went to RFC because we were there for a late lunch on the 15th! We didn't think it was too bad though, nothing special but it was good. My BF has never been to a RFC and my parents and I haven't been over 10 yrs when we were in WDW in 1998! I hope you guys had fun though! We drove down in my new car which I didn't want to do because I felt bad putting the miles on her when she was only a week old! LOL My BF actually won $218 on his last $20 that he had with him! Me, NOTHING of course LOL But when BF won the $218 we were so excited acting like he had won a million bucks!

But yeah, I really wished they did show the battle. It would have been cool to see. My favorite book is number 3. I love Sirius, and they introduced him in that one. But my favorite overall chapter has to be "The Prince's Tale" It shows you how brave Snape was and all the did was for love. You gotta fell that one.
