Running shorts

Looking for some running shorts that aren't going to cost me as much as my shoes. Ideally looking for 5" with an attached brief. I have no idea where to even start looking besides the big names, that all want $40+.

Target has brands for under $20.

I use Nike tempo. They are usually on sale for $22.50. Have been wearing them for ages with no complaints.

I've had good luck at T.J. Maxx and Ross. I've even bought from Walmart, in a pinch.

TJ Maxx often has a pretty good supply of exercise clothing. You have to luck into sizes, of course, so you might have to go several times to get lucky.

Old Navy, Gap, TJ Maxx/Ross all have affordable running shorts.

I saw some nice running shorts at Walmart yesterday -- ladies' department. Lots of bright colors (no pink, but I liked the aqua and coral colors) ... Avila brand? I know it started with an "A" ... probably 5" inseam ... undershorts and "partially slit sides" ... one small zippered pocket on the centered back. Not high style, but appealed to me. $9.9x

I wanted some, but I told myself I have to "earn them" by working out every day for the next week.

I wish we had an Academy, but unfortunately shipping will eat up whatever I save. Old navy wants as much as Nike for theirs, I may be hitting up the Nike outlet for a pair soon.

I love the Avia brand from Walmart. They have the kind with built in brief or compression short style

I've found that 5" and longer is pretty difficult to find, actually. Amazon seems to have a decent selection, and their return policy is very easy.

I have 3 teenage runners. I buy their running shorts from thrift stores. They look new and they're in my budget. I know some people would hate the idea of that, but it works for us. Most of the shorts we find are Nike.

I've been looking for the last six months and can't find any in my size that were worthwhile. The only ones I found in decent shape were two or three sizes too big.

Check Old Navy online. With a sale and coupons codes I’ve scored them for about $10/pair.
