Running Paths around Wyndham Bonnet Creek?

We are heading to Wyndham's Bonnet Creek resort for our first stay next week. My wife is a runner in training and doesn't want to lose a whole week so she is hoping to run a few miles several times during our stay.

Are there sidewalk paths around the resort's lake that are suitable for running? Is there a safe way to walk or run to the Epcot resorts and thereby link into the Epcot-DHS loop?

I think it depends on how far she wants to run.

Yes, there is a path around the lake at WBC. It's a pretty run, but only very roughly .6 mile. A longer run at WBC would be around the parking lot, and that could be combined with a loop over past the Hilton, to the Waldorf Astoria and back.

The parking lot and roads are asphalt, and have little traffic. The path around the lake and some other possibliities are concrets sidewalks, which are not as kind to a runner's feet as asphalt..

For a longer run, she could also combine that with running the sidewalk along Chelonia Parkway out to E. Buena Vista Drive.

Once she gets out to E. Buena Vista Drive, there is a sidewalk on the north side of the street which takes you first to the Hess Station near Boardwalk, and then to DHS and the hookup with the DHS-Epcot loop. That sidewalk connects directly to the DHS-Boardwalk sidewalk.

Have her explore Google Earth a bit and I think she can come up with some nice routes for various distances. WDW is generally NOT a great place to run or bicycle, but the WBC-DHS area is an exception...with the caveat that you have to cross across to the north side of E. Buena Vista Drive.

The Hilton-Waldorf loop is around a mile. Add in the area around the Wyndham and up to the stoplight a Chelonia and Bunea Vista, you have a decent area. She'd just have to run it over and over to get however many miles she wanted.

And there are treadmills in the fitness centers (main building and building 6).

You can run down to almost where Buena Vista Drive is on a nice path, but there are no sidewalks on Buena Vista Drive at Chelonia. It would not be safe to try to run on Buena Vista Drive in that area.
