Let's just say that I was a bit off plan for the last week but I DID manage to run 13.1 miles on Sunday I was in California for a while and I am preparing a little photographic trip report that I'll share once I get it all set up.
I finally got back out there last night for a quick 3 miler in my neighborhood. I have to say it's a bit tough getting back into the training groove, but I realize that there is no time to waste and I need to get my butt moving. I'll either run again tonight or do an elliptical workout...repeat on Friday...bike and/or walk on Saturday and then do an 8-10 mile long run on Sunday. Then it's back on plan for the duration of my Goofy training.
I hope all is well with everyone. Thanks so much for checking in...I appreciate all the support.
HI Scott!!! Glad you're back! Sorry you have been off plan! I know the feeling. Sounds like you've got it all worked out though. Busy weekend!!! 13.1 miles is awesome!!! Hope your workout goes well tonight! We'll be waiting for your CA pixs!
Hey Scott! I'm not sure if this is going to come out right, but please don't think I'm ever saying anything against you.
For me, who struggles A LOT with keeping on track, it helps me to see when you aren't "perfect" in your training plan. I learn from you all the time. Whether you realize it or not. And from your last post, I learned how to get back on track when a slight blip comes up. You know what needs to be done in order to reach your goals and even when things get in the way, you get back to business asap. Again, I hope this comes across the way I've intended. Don't ever feel bad about posting when you've strayed a bit, because even that helps all of us learn.
Feel like doing some math? Good....see if you can follow along:
Take record low weigh in on day of trip + great seafood and wine + more wine + no exercise + huge bowl of ice cream + yummy pizza + more wine + mexican food - half marathon calorie burn + fried fish and chips + beer + yet more wine + morning pastries and donut + still no extra exercise + numerous coca-colas + you guessed it, some wine =
(drumroll please....)
almost a 5 pound weight gain!! Yikes!
So my low weigh in last week was early in the morning, before food, optimum low weight time....and tonight was after a nice dinner, later at night, non-optimum weight time...but that's about all I've got going for me.
You are so funny! Good food, Good wine and good friends! I think that is well worth the 5lbs! You'll get it off! You men are somehow able to lose it so fast! It's not fair!!!
A teaser... that not fair either!!! tuning, tuning, tuning...
Hope you have a good weekend and your long run goes well! See, 5lbs gone already!
While I was eating away in the Northern California bay area, I did manage to snap a few pics....it's not a full trip report, but gives you an idea of the beautiful scenery out there Enjoy...
Those are some serious BFH's! And I certainly wouldn't trust myself to drive through those curves.
Thanks for sharing! And I agree with the others....no need to stress about the 5 pounds or the week off. Your body probably thanks you for the rest. And the weight will fall right off in a week or two.
