Running buddy

Just not sure what you are asking about, there are a ton of "running buddy" products, apps, etc.

It's some sort of pouch with a magnet that is supposed to substitute for a crossover bag/fannypack.

Personally we just use a very thin backpack. it works really really well. Its out of your way, you can even wear it on a lot of rides (depending what you put in it) Don't have to worry about it falling off while you make your way through the parks. And if you really want to you CAN stuff a lot into it ... though we usually don't.

I just bought 2 for DH and I for bike riding and possibly WDW. The magnets are strong. I bought the 6+ size even though we have 5s since we may upgrade phones soon. It can hold phones and keys and maybe a sunscreen stick. It would be hard to conceal it under my summer (lady) clothes. My DH may be able to hide it under his clothes.

Anyone buy it, use it? I'd like to get opinions before I buy it.

I have one. Used it for a race to carry my phone, ID and car key. It stayed put really well but I was very aware of it and was constantly pulling up my pants while running. (Admittedly my running shorts were too big and the weight of the phone is probably what did it!)

For use while running, I'm going to switch to a flip belt. My husband claimed the running buddy for his runs - he likes it.

Pros: spacious, with separator so key does not scratch phone, mesh on back so part that contacts your body can breathe/dry, magnets stay secure!

Cons: it's hard not to be aware of it (for me, at least) and I was constantly thinking about the idea of it falling off.

For touring I think it could be good if you just need to carry a phone and a KTTW card...although the magnets might negatively impact that card, I don't know.

One last note - while running we wore it in back like a true fanny pack. For touring, no way would I do that it would have to face front.

We used them at Cedar point and could take them on coasters if you wore a looser top that hid it. It worked great and no fear of it falling off. Plan to take to Disney. No problems with magnets affecting credit cards or phone either - I was worried about that. I have 6+ for that phone and I got smaller one for daughter

I love mine! I got it because I dislike arm bands. Plenty of room for my iPhone, spare key and pepper spray. I don't notice that it's there...sometimes I have to double check! I usually attach it to my waistband but I've also attached it a hydration belt. I also use it as a wallet occasionally. HTH
