Even with mobility one exercises. My mother would walk slowly for her exercise around while I would run and periodically pass her. An activity we could do somewhat together. Or, I would just walk her speed with her. Not anymore. It is a shame that those with mobility issues can’t go an entire loop.We almost exclusively use stairs on ships. Otherwise I couldn't eat five meals a day! I guess if you have mobility issues it would be a problem, but if you have mobility issues you aren't running either.
Yes. There are stairs at each end of deck 4, which is the length of the 7 life boats. For me it is 151 walking steps between the stairs.Just a thought but when you reach the stairs can’t you just make a U turn and go back the other way and thus avoid going up the stairs?
But you might be a walker and this could definitely limit that. Plus as others said I was a runner who would push two children in a jogging stroller and have a dog on a leash with me. Not that you can have the dog on the ship unless service dog but you are certainly allowed to bring your children. Especially if those children are babies and you can't afford or can't get a spot in the nursery this could prevent a run. Personally, I'd just look at is a more intense work (yes to the hill training up there!) but I can see it being an issue. It's definitely a poor design imho.We almost exclusively use stairs on ships. But this requires runners and walkers going in both directions in the same areas. On the other four ships, there is signage indicating the jogging/walking direction on the promenade deck (deck 4), always counterclockwise (all left hand turns) which is most common for running/walking tracks.Just a thought but when you reach the stairs can’t you just make a U turn and go back the other way and thus avoid going up the stairs?
Just to clarify, are there steps both forward and aft? Is there any connection on deck 4 linking starboard and port?Yes. There are stairs at each end of deck 4, which is the length of the 7 life boats. For me it is 151 walking steps between the stairs.
anxiously awaiting the worse part!Yes, there are steps forward and after at each "end" of deck 4 on both sides of the ships. But it gets much worse...
