We are going Veteran's Day/Super Hero Half weekend. We are prepared for the crowds and have a soft game plan. We are staying at PPH so can do EMH every morning if necessary. My question is about Saturday morning. DL opens at 8 with EMH. Should we make an effort to be there around 7 or will it be "slightly" quieter because people are there to run instead of be in the parks?

In my experience, the crowds tend to build faster on Saturday mornings during race weekends, because the park opens an hour later than a typical Saturday. I don't think you need to be to the gate by 7, but I would definitely get there before 7:30.

I would still be there early. Saturday will be the 10k and it will be finished with fast onsite people able to get back, showered, and ready to go.

Race starts at 5am, on Saturday, our slowest runner (who is slow) will be done by 630am, will have time to shower and we will be in the park by EMH (probably headed to Carnation!)

I agree. I am also pretty slow and we figure we will be at the park in time for EMH if not slightly late. We are staying at the DLH and will likely have QS there after cleaning up.

We were there on that race weekend 2 years ago (our first and last, we swore) and we weren't going into the parks that day, but just getting through security from Harbor into downtown disney around 8am was RIDICULOUS.
