Run Now! It’s Wine 0’Clock in WDW…Cupcakes Gone W&D16

I am so excited...this weekend in Speed Scrap Marathon over at Mousescrappers! I have been neglecting my scrapping for sometime...mainly because I have like over 500 digital kits that I have to reload into my software since I bought a new computer and could not transfer the program over. But I have been working on it slowly and this weekend was perfect (not a lot to do) to just scrap away...

FYI the more water you drink after alcohol the less hung over you will be the next day. That and cheap aspirin and you'll be good to go!

I thought it was the more you :drinking1 the more you had to ... :rolleyes1:scared1:

Buffy you are in charge of bringing the keep aspirin! Noted on my packing list (an shush...doesn't everyone have a packing list for a trip that is over 200 days away?) :jumping1:

Aye Aye Captain!!! I shall bring said cheap aspirin!! And yes, I'm already working on Packing lists and potential run and park outfits.

I used to swear by a pint of water and two Advil before bed after a night "on the town" in my twenties. Now I should probablly remember that....and have a glass of water for each drink.

I keep a running packing list on google drive. Dont' judge...it's just there when I need it.

I'll be doing W&D and a little stay as well...I may or may not already have my packing list in my head...

Whet Your Appetite Wednesday: Germany
Pre Planning Our Eat & Drink Around the World Crawl

(or by the end of the night teetering and rolling around the world)

Trying to find ways to pass the next 210 days, so Wednesday is going to be officially called “Whet Your Appetite Wednesday” because Cupcakes like eating and most of this trip will be focused around Food & Wine (and yes running). Since the menus for F&W are not available for 2016 until the midSpring and we have pretty much covered favorite dining experiences and foods from around WDW…let’s start pre-planning some our Post Race Sunday Eat & Drink Crawl Around the World (information, rules and requirements later) by circling the World Showcase in search of the best snacks…

OrlRes 27.jpg oktoberfest.jpg

Let’s dance the Polka, to burn a few calories that we have consumed, all the way to our next country where you know the accordion will be playing, the tuba sounding and the party will be happening on the cobblestone street…all under the watchful eyes of Saint George.

And I will do my best not to offend any CM with my 3 years of German in high school too many Oktoberfest moons ago, thank goodness the menus are in English and food familiar!

Germany F&W Booth

To eat:
–Schinkennudeln: Pasta gratin with ham and cheese
–Roast bratwurst in a pretzel roll
–Apple strudel with vanilla sauce

Here are my selections to share…

I love a good bratwurst and in a pretzel roll, YUM-O and followed by a dessert course of warm apple strudel! Of course we will have to dance the Chicken Dance before we move on to our next country.

What looks good for a snack for you? Sweet or savory it does not matter.

For the trip to Cancun - I made these cute hangover kits for everyone:
View attachment 160316

Inside were:
1) Sunglasses
2) Aleve - 10 pack
3) Rock Candy
4) Bandaids
5) 2 Hair Ties

Some of you ladies may need something similar ;)

Melissa that is such a cool idea...hmmm now what shall we add for this trip? And what do you mean "some of you ladies."

Oh I definitely will be having a brat. Those are something here in Milwaukee that is like a staple. Everyone here eats brats.

The pages look so cute Tammie!!

Thanks!!
Tammie- I LOVE your pages!!! They turned out so great!!!!

We got our resort booked- we are Sarasota Springs from Saturday (the 5th) through Wed (the 9th).

Thanks...I had a great weekend scrapping...I need to post the rest of the layouts I did! That album is at least 1/2 way done now!

Yay for booking. Sarasota Springs...that sounds like fun. Can't wait to hear your review!

I'll be doing W&D and a little stay as well...I may or may not already have my packing list in my head...

Welcome...sounds like you fit in right here with the packing list. Mine is in my head and on paper...I need to put more on paper! LOL I see you have a PTR...gonna have to go check it out!

Pretty much a staple for us too...we go to church in a small German farming community. My freezer is full of German sausage!

I love the scrapbook pages!!
My family does a paper scrapbook, but we do it very differently than most people - we mostly just use pictures and brochures, no fun backgrounds. So I'm always blown away by the creativity that people show with the backgrounds and decorations ... I don't have the patience for that stuff, my way is easier for me.

In terms of Germany ... I'd have to go either pretzel or apple strudel. Depending on what kind of mood I was in.
And I'll skip the chicken dance. I don't dance. (At least not in public)

Germany!! My dad's parents were both born & raised in Germany before moving over to the US, so, I hold my German heritage very close to my heart!!

I would definitely have a brat...and apple strudel...

I always get a pretzel from the German beer cart & a beer.

Mmmmmm brats! Mmmmmm pretzel rolls! Mmmmmm apfel studel! But even better....GRAPEFRUIT BEER!!!!! I know it's not food, but it's my must do in Germany! (Did I just skip ahead to Friday????)

I'll just throw the brat out and eat the Pretzel roll followed by the apple strudel. Carbs and sugar. Forget the protein. :)

Thrifty First Thursday of the Month
Update on March Earnings/Savings

Thrifty Thursday.jpg

Time to count up the Disney pennies…remember I am trying all the unique ways I can
to earn my spending money without taking anything out of my household budget.

Projected
MVMCP Ticket $75
7 Day Park Hopper Ticket $450
7 Day Expenses (Spending/Meals) $700
Total: $1225

Swagbucks
November $25
December $75
January $100
February $25
March $75

  • I am pretty surprised that I was able to earn $75 this month since I was not able to collect any SB for while I was on trips for 14 days. Although, I did book my car and 1 night hotel stay using Swagbucks to make up for the lost SB that I would not earn by not having wifi connections.
Amount Earned for Trip: $300

Walmart Savings Catcher

  • I did not do a lot of shopping this month so as expected I did not earn much.
Amount Earned for Trip: $46.91

Shopkicks
November to January $25
March- need 894 more kicks for $25

  • I earned A LOT more kicks than expected this month, almost 1000 (which is really good considering I was gone most of the month to collect my kicks).

Amount Earned for Trip: $25

IBotta
(since January)

  • I did not even use Ibotta this month…sigh.
Amount Earned for Trip: $18.75

Children’s Exchange Consignment Clothing
Amount Earned for Trip: $104.00

Pact
March $6.65
Amount Earned for Trip: $17.93

I used to be a paper scrapper, but I have fallen in love with digital! It is so easy (plus I tend to get albums done faster) and I think my pages turn out lots better than before...Plus once I purchase a kit I can use the paper and embellishments over and over.

In terms of Germany ... I'd have to go either pretzel or apple strudel. Depending on what kind of mood I was in.

Depending on how many shots Gretchen as us doing we may have some pretty funky chicken dancing.

OHHH Pretzels...I must have a jalpeno one this trip!

Jumping ahead a little...

If I did not like brats so much I would have to agree...the bread usually is the best part! Who needs protein!
