Rumors that Disney is in negotiations to sell Star Wars back to George Lucas!

Some Star Wars fans have been predicting KK is getting fired every few months since TLJ. I have lost count how many times she was supposedly fired by now. I will say this, if she can stay employed after her pet project (Indy 5) loses Disney like $300-400 million, she is untouchable. If she can weather this storm, it is obvious to me that she must have pics of Iger and the entire board in compromising situations.

ok why are you so negative. talk about a Debbie Downer. Do you get paid for negative comments or something? Or just get a kick out of constantly saying everything sucks?
Why is factual evidence about live action Star Wars fans not making the jump to animation seen as negative? Once again why are facts hurting your feelings? Is it not true what I said?

That has people concerned about the Ashoka show as well, the fact that most people probably will not watch all of the animated stuff that sets it up. So are these concerns being a Debbie Downer?

I have to be honest. When I saw the marketing for Rebels, I rolled my eyes and said it would probably be terrible. The kid seemed whiny, the Mandalorian with the spray paint art felt contrived, it had a Jedi who amazingly avoided the purge. It didn't seem like something I would like. Boy was I so wrong and I'm glad I tuned in. I also loved the Rebels Recon show they had on YouTube with Andi Gutierrez. It was a great recap show where they dove into the storylines and had a fun questions and answer session with people like Dave Filoni and Pablo Hidalgo. They also showed a good portion of the behind the scenes at Lucasfilm. We watched it as a family every week. My youngest and I watch Bad Batch and enjoy it but it's not the same.
lol I agree, when I saw the line up I was like mmmhmmm... I dont know about that...... But it is winning me over. I do think I like it better than the Clone Wars

I love all of the characters in Rebels. It is fun to meet entities who are part of the resistance but not really part of the Skywalker saga of the movies, well at least for now, who knows what the live actions will bring, but love Hera and Chopper, they are my new favs. Season 1 was really good, excited for some more Vader and Ashoka in season 2.

Chopper is best droid! End of story.

Dave Filoni described it this way: "If R2's your favorite dog, Chopper's a cat." 🤣

And it only gets better as it goes!

you are not hurting my feelings at all. I do not need any validation from a stranger on the DIS boards. At my age I am pretty confident in what I like or not. Just slightly fascinated with your negativity, I mean not everyone on a fan board has to be positive, but damn you are dedicated. Oh well. Enjoy . Like I said, I will tune out when the yuck gets too bad, just had to ask at least once

I think that is some of the magic that has not changed about Star Wars... the ability to take what should be the least emotive characters. droids... and turn them into some of the most endearing members of these stories.

How about my often stated love for Mando season 1&2, why no comment about that?

How about all the Disney films from the 90s I rave about how much I love, why no comment about that?

How about how I have said repeatedly that Wish looks like a return to form and potential big win for Disney later this year?

I just don't think anything can top R2. I mean he literally had an entire generation of kids running around making nonsensical beeps and clicks trying to mimic his language. Not a few of the kids, like the entire darn neighborhood. I had a R2 birthday cake as a kid, yes my mom was an incredible lady.

C3PO was a smart aleck, and way less cool than R2 imho.

Didn't care for BB-8, seems like the dollar general version of R2 to me. This could be clouded by my overall dislike of the Disney Sequels though, and I fully admit that.

BB8 was a round and orange R2, but not as good.

K2SO from Rogue 1 would prolly be my next favorite after Chopper now. I like them a little more chaotic neutral in alignment

good you left C3P0 out... he gets on my nerves, talk talk talk talk... He was kinda cool when his was Sith3P0
Triple Zero is the anti-3PO tbh He just wants to torture and murder everything he comes across (I’m not selling it very well but it’s kinda funny in the comics when Doctor Aphra has to reign him and BT-1 in all of the time and then they finally get to cause some kind of destruction or chaos)

I hope you hang in there on this, you might find it plodding along at times-curious your final take.
Enough people I trust on here have said it's good.....so they have kinda forced my hand on it. I plan to watch it until the end.

I am a bit like a battered lover with Star Wars, as it has punched me in the face so much in the Disney era. Too much of a fan of the OT to walk away, but can't stand what Disney has done to areas of the lore.

it is different for sure, if you hope to see lots of high flying Jedi and Sith dueling with light sabers and trying to see who has the bigger force push .... it is not that series. It is much more political and gritty and more of the "everyday" person... fighters. It is not pretty, nor is it meant to be... but there are some VERY inspiring parts. I really enjoyed it.
