Rumors that Disney is in negotiations to sell Star Wars back to George Lucas!

so, starting season 3 this week... but here are my thoughts up to now

Overall I like it as much as the Clone Wars if not more. I find Rebels to be more of a cohesive storyline, where the episodes are more interconnected and flowing together. It seemed to me that the CLone Wars really jumped around... with a lot of fluff episodes thrown in between major jumps in the story... fun... but fluffy in that they sometimes seemed to just be not connected to the overall story arcs or a little out of sequence/topic.

The switch in art style took a little getting used to, especially once Ahsoka showed up, but that is becoming less 'jarring'. Overall I like the art better in Rebels. Sometimes the overly pointy angular features on the female characters in Clone Wars was off putting to me I like the more emotive animation faces of Rebels.

Was awesome seeing both Maul and Vader in the same episode... Twilight of the Apprentice was excellent.

I like seeing the connections to things that i think are going to get expanded in the current live actions series happening. For example the Purgills in Rebels... and then Grogu seeing them in the Mandalorian.
We enjoyed Rebels so, so much. Such a great ensemble show. I think at first they depended on a lot of cameos, established characters, but then these REbels characters really come into their own
LOVE Twilight of the Apprentice. How emotional! And, watching it live, it was the last time we see Ahsoka. so good, but sad. Lots of tears were shed.
So many more great episodes to come for you. Please share feelings if you want.

Officially finished with Rebels and also Tales of the Jedi. Just wow, I was not prepared for how much I would enjoy Rebels. So good, season 3 and the final season was amazing. I got to see my husband get all choked up at Night of the Jedi, lol something that does not happen too often. After watching this, I can see how critical it is going to be as background for the new Ahsoka live action.

Now not only do I have a favorite new droid in Chopper... now I also have a favorite new Jedi crush in Kanen Jarrus (sorry Obi Wan... but Kanen believes in attachments and that is a big plus).

Really great show. After Rogue 1, I would have to put Rebels into my #2 fav Star Wars of all time spot...

I really enjoyed Rebels... until they brought in time travel to save Ahsoka (we know you love her, Dave, but come on), and tried to make us believe that Kanan and Hera weren't a couple before Season 4 (like, COME ON). They were totally space married!

Yes, the World Beyond Worlds was a terrible idea because Star Wars didn't need time travel added to the universe. I'm worried it may creep up on Ahsoka.

Well they could use it to get rid of the sequel trilogy and Jake Skywalker timeline........and I would certainly see that as a positive development.

I really hope Aksoka is good, but not getting my hopes up. Disney just can't seem to get Star Wars right lately to me.

Tons of smoke about KK's rein coming to an end over at Lucasfilm. I have no idea if any of it is true, but I will just say there is a whole lot of this type info out there right now on the web. I am really hopeful that there is a little fire as a result from all this smoke, and we can get some new leadership that understands Star Wars.

I’m waiting for someone to ask her point blank where she was during the Rebellion. But knowing Dave, he’ll retcon her as having been just off screen the entire time. Even though her knowing of Luke Skywalker’s existence would be a bit of a continuity gaffe!

Ahsoka needs to be really good, Star Wars needs a win in the worst possible way. I hate to think it’s the last straw, but I just don’t think Star Wars fans will hold on much longer with the terrible content we are getting. Dave understands Star Wars, so that gives me hope.

How on earth do you screw up Kenobi? How on earth do you screw up Boba Fett? How on earth do you screw up Mando 3? Nobody watched Andor…….so I just feel like the fans are checking out all together.

Ahsoka needs to be great please! No one wants to gripe about bad Star Wars, just make good Star Wars with people who know and understand what Star Wars is.

Star Wars will turn around and be good again at some point. I have no idea when this change will happen it may be a decade, but at some point people that understand Star Wars will be back in charge.

It’s just too great an IP to stay bad forever. This I am confident about.

I picked up on their relationship from the first. Kanen used his room for meditating only. But figured they needed to make it REALLY clear and official in the last season and with baby… Star Wars does not do romance well lol…. Han and Leia…. Hera and Kanen are about as good as it gets

The time travel did not bother me, tied it in with Mortis gods which I found puzzling when I watched Clone Wars. I have not read the books or comics so some of this is lost on me.

I wonder where she popped out… I assume it was a Jedi temple somewhere. No ship, unknown world… might take a bit to get back to where people were. Here main contact in Bail got blown up with Alderaan

Obi-Wan was good and gave Hayden Christensen the comeback he deserved. Andor was absolutely incredible. If they’re smart they will give Tony Gilroy carte blanche to do whatever he wants after it’s over. (X-wing series, please? Pretty please?)
Agree to disagree on Kenobi, it was a hot mess to me. Andor is visually great, but no one watched it. The bad fan reception of Boba and Obi-Wan hurt Andor’s viewership a lot in my opinion.

Ahsoka needs to knock it out of the park!

Meh the haters will hate on it and bag on it without ever bothering to watch. They will look to some fan site for advice on if they should and will go in with some bias.
BTW….Did you even watch all of Andor yet?

Yes, some Star Wars fans aren't interested in a non-Jedi Star Wars story. And those poor people are missing out on a great show. I'm glad Disney+ took a chance and finally made an adult Star Wars series that didn't involve lightsabers and Force users. It's a human story about how rebellions get started. It painted a beautifully deep Star Wars universe. It had two of the best monologues in Star Wars history. It had one of the saddest endings since Empire. It broke the mold.
