Rumors that Disney is in negotiations to sell Star Wars back to George Lucas!

Wait, what? Star Wars is based on samurai culture??? NO! I never would have guessed, especially from watching any of Dave Filoni's shows.
Well it used to be, but now I think they are using mostly rainbows and unicorns and "Rocks" as their creative inspiration.

How do we know there wasn't? Anakin just came in at the worse timing for the Jedi.

Nothing you say will change my mind about the Jedi. They were good yes, but they were still wrong in how they did things. I think it's important to acknowledge that good ppl aren't paragons of virtue or always do the right thing.

Oh, I agree that they were wrong about how they did some things - certianly their arrogance and blindness led to their downfall. I do not believe though that the restriction on attachments was one of the problems. This was there for a reason, as we see what attachment does to people. I mean, look at all the people who are so attached to the OT that they can't accept anything else as legitimate. 🤣

Except Rey she obviously always manages to do the exact right thing at the exact right time.

We can agree to disagree like reasonable ppl 😉

You mean Rey taking Leia's name? Sure.
Sure that's why there exist videos from the theaters with people saying "No" or "Boo" when she when says the name at the end. Rey Organa makes much more sense and would have been something I could get behind. She sure as heck did not admire or respect Luke, so why did she want his name?

How does Rey Organa make any more sense at all? It's not like she knew Bail or anything. I think she absolutely respected Luke. In fact, when she FAILED she went back to Anch-To to live in exile as Luke did, only to have him tell her that was not the way after all.

And Westerns - don't forget Westerns!
I loved that the early Mando stuff seemed to go back to the weekly western vibe. Shows that Favreau really understands what George's original inspirations were. I see this is incredibly respectful to the creator.

Favreau just gets it, I believe. If only we could have gotten him for TLJ instead of Johnson, oh what a difference that could have made.

I also heard a rumor--uncited, of course--that there were WWII aerial fighting references in Star Wars. Must have been some "blink and you miss it" scene that fanatics glommed onto.

Rey does not fail, she has tiny little setbacks occasionally that end up having little to no harmful effect to her or her mission. Just exactly the way proper Mary Sue's are written, and also why many say she had zero character arc.

What was JJ supposed to do. The idiot before him killed off the big bad a movie too early, to “subvert expectations”.

JJ was trying to make chicken salad out of chicken crap at that point.

Because the movie didn't need another Emperor. Kylo Ren was the villain. We keep repeating the same things again and again. Hux, the other First Order people who didn't want to see Kylo Ren lead could've revolted and wanted to destroy all the other planets that were "disloyal". Rey gets Ben to return and they team up to win in the end. But no, let's just bring Palpatine back from the dead because reasons. Now we have Star Wars content having to shoehorn in those elements to their shows. I hope Ahsoka doesn't.
