Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

We would like to know what time the Jungle Book show will be because I have to do FP's this Sunday. I don't know what time to make them so I can allow for plenty of time for it.

The original HUB post stated ROL would be at 8:30 and 9:15, so would guess similar timing? Though not sure if they will have multiple showing of ROL lite?

Every once in awhile I think about our upcoming trip after Thanksgiving and I just get so excited I want to scream! Today is one of those days, for some reason.

We started out by booking a 2-bedroom villa at Kidani (AKV), but when free dining dates began to float around and there was a chance of us getting that, we ended up making the plan to switch to AoA. As much as we would love to do AKV/AKL, it was going to be a real stretch for us financially. The move to AoA just makes too much sense. On the plus side, I feel so good about it now! It's like a weight has been lifted. If we end up having more money to put toward the trip, we might add a dessert party or an extra MVMCP (already planning one). Anyway, just having a moment of joy today and wanted to share it with my peeps.

Now to figure out a mattress topper I can have shipped to AoA so I can actually sleep on that HARD bed!

I hear ya on that. I always call Mousekeeping and have them bring extra blankets to the room and I fold those up to make a mattress topper for my side of the bed (DH likes the rock-hard mattress). We drive to Disney and we'll have extra space in the van for the drive down this time so I'm thinking I might buy a cheap foam mattress topper at Walmart and take it with us. We'll have more people in the van on the drive home so I'll probably just leave the mattress topper there when we check out.

It must be a very short show (I'm thinking 10 minutes, tops). They aren't leaving much time to empty and refill the theater for the second show.

That's more than I used to get !! Lol. I left my former employer after 18 years in August, and they didn't do a lunch for me or anything ---and we were all great friends !! I was upset, but just tried to concentrate on what was really important--- my family !! Have a very happy bday, and Blessed day !! My friend turned 50 today ad well !! Great date too --- DW and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary --- well, she is- I have food poisoning !

I thought it was 8:30 and 9:45.

Edit: Yes, I just looked at the wdwnt story from 3/31, and it says 8:30 and 9:45. Let's hope they don't change it now!

I'm trying to catch up, am I correct in the only big announcement being that the park hours have changed from 27 May? No Rivers of Light, no dining options, no Jungle Book announcements?
I had scheduled a day at Animal Kingdom for the 27th, but think I might change this as I'm guessing the crowds will be crazy!
Also just read that Soarin' won't open until 17 June - sadness!! Soarin' is my ultimate favourite ride!

I'm fairly certain the Jungle book show, along with the other AK nighttime activities, start May 27th but that's all the info we have right now. Some nighttime FP available but not the Safari yet.

I have to question the 8:30 showtime for June and the summer since the sun doesn't set until 8:30. My thought is there were the show times if it debuted in April and they would have changed them for the summer. Fantasmic is going off at 9pm so that is what I am basing my plans on right now. I really hope they post the times soon.

The planning for this trip is just dragging on. Usually by now I have everything set in place and I'm all excited about the trip. Instead, I have to look several times a day to see if they have updated the information - don't want to miss anything. Frustrating!

Is anyone from our lounge coming to WDW June 1- 8th? My husband and I have a few Trader Sams visits planned, and we'd love to enjoy some drinks (and hootenanny?!?!?) with my fellow loungers as your availability allows.
