Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I just read yesterday that construction is behind at the Frozen ride and they may be pushing that back until the fall.... It was on David's DVC Rentals facebook page....

The person who posted the information about what was included in the VIP tickets indicated that the interior of the Frozen ride is pretty much finished except for some finishing touches. They said it's the exterior of the building that's holding things up...but didn't make it sound like the opening was 6 months away. 2 or 3 *maybe*.

Here is the exact text of that facebook post:

Looks like the Frozen attraction being built in Norway at Epcot still has a ways to go. I took this shot a couple of days ago. The opening date for the new ride was originally May 2016 but now I'm hearing it will take a little longer. There was a fire at the construction site in September of 2015 (luckily with no injuries), I don't know if that had any affect on the construction delay, but it certainly is possible. ~ Marilyn

ETA: Nowhere in that post or the comments does it mention Fall. Rumors of it being pushed to June are already out there.

That's more in line with what I've been reading...June opening.

Frankly, I'm hoping that either Frozen or Soarin' *isn't* open for our trip in June. It will make planning our Epcot days much easier. I'm already having headaches and stress over the whole ROL thing and the Epcot issues are only making it worse. Thankfully I don't make FP's reservations for a few more weeks so at least the ROL thing should be sorted out by then.

All kidding aside, Rteetz does a wonderful job on his thread...I find it very informative and have learned much about what is going on in the "World." I may not agree with some of "characters" but for the most part, it's a great source for news!

Is there something different on the AK dining page? Previously it said 26 restaurants. It is now saying 27 but I do not see anything that would relate to a ROL package. I do not have all the other entries memorized to be able to spot if something is new.

Well, for an introvert such as myself, spectating and processing and learning is a means of participating, overtly interacting is for if I have something to contribute, or a question...but I don't necessarily consider my participation here as a reflection on how I participate in "life!"

Good question... When sorted for "reservations accepted" I don't see anything new...

I think it's the Animal Kingdom Special Activities. You cannot click on it and everything just says that it varies...
