Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I currently have 2 nights scheduled for AL would it be greedy to book a ROL dining package for each night? Something tells me it will be worth seeing twice
If you have to ask if it's "greedy," then you know the answer. Yes.

Use a discreet video recorder, then you can watch it in your resort room to catch all the details you missed.

I disagree. If she wants to pay twice, she should be able to. If she did it a year apart, it wouldn't be considered greedy, right? So why would it be if she went twice in the same trip? Maybe she doesn't go often. I'm going to take my dd and then hopefully see it again with a Tiffins package when I go solo.

Has anyone seen a placeholder pop up on the dining page for ROL packages yet? Usually the placeholder will appear for a few hours while they are setting it up, then will drop off until they are ready to go live (at least that's how it worked with Minnie's Holiday Dine and the new offering HS during SWW last year).

I haven't seen it yet, but will be updating the dining page all day! :) If someone else catches it, please post it here so that we all can bookmark. Currently there are 111 restaurants listed that take reservations. A switch to 112 should be an indication they are working on things.

Happy hunting my Disney friends!!
I believe that's what the "Animal Kingdom Special Activities" is.....a placeholder for the ROL packages.

Totally agree. She, and everyone else, has that option as long as they can book it. She would be paying twice. To me, its similar to getting a FP for 7DMT every day of your trip that you go to MK. Totally acceptable.

But if she goes twice during the premiere days, that means some other party will miss out on their chance to see it once. Maybe it's their "once in a lifetime" trip, and maybe they have children who will be sad when they miss seeing it because someone else hogged all the FP+'s or dinner packages.

Think of the children!

Let's keep it fair -- please don't be greedy with RoL FP+'s/dinner packages...

Totally agree with you. There is certainly no rule (official or internet driven moral code) to state you can only do each attraction, restaurant or show a maximum of 1 time per trip, and honestly to suggest as much I find a bit odd (I'm actually hoping the original suggestion was in jest).

If you want to ride Space Mountain twice in one trip and even have 2 FP's for it in one trip, is that a problem? Seeing a show is the same thing. Dining at the same restaurant twice, is the same thing.

What survey?

At 5:10 CST I had a lengthy survey pop up asking about my satisfaction with the website, booking, etc. I was honest - I am less than 60 days out and they are making it rather difficult for me to enjoy the planning process for this trip. There were places where I could specifically say why I was visiting the website and whether or not I was able to accomplish what I wanted to. It made me feel better by saying my piece after getting up at 5am two mornings in a row for nothing.

Why am I stressed out about this when I am more than likely not even gonna try to go see it? I don't like crowds and the show will only have been open a week on my one day at Disney.

I just wish that they would say "Dining packages will be open on XXX date" and be done with it. This rumor stuff is for the birds. Especially if they are supposedly being started by "friends of CMs" - didn't someone say that a CM could be fired for saying anything that wasn't officially released. Why would a CM put their job on the line just so a "friend" could post it to the world...
