I must admit that I am at the point where I may be tuning out the day to day on what may or may not be happening with RoL. I think I reached my RoL limit!

At this point, I think I JUST WANT AN OPENING DATE. Until then, I think I'm over it.

Funny... I'm still totally into my Rumors of Light peeps here, though... what a bond!!

I don't even trust an opening date, I mean we've had that before. As most Disney, when it is OPEN AND OPERATING then I will begin planning it in my trips. I totally don't believe any of the "stories" that have been told regarding this.

But you are right, the Rumors of Loungers have been the best thing to come out of it.

I used them because they were including photos .......... same exact look just different lights.

Most all the tweets of live viewers are negative.

If you have FP+ or Dining Package. The Standby line went back to Triceratops ride and was a LONG wait in the hot sun. Maybe second show would be better to wait for.

Yes, but that was before people knew what it would be like. They had HOPE and OPTIMISM. Both are things I'm no longer feeling about this show.

Tusker house package for june 1 first show (Tusker house Was already planned, just switch for package)
Fast pass for june 4 10:30pm

It is culturally beautiful at moments, but just makes you feel cheated as a nighttime show. As daytime atmosphere, it would be fine.

Jungle Book Show isn't bad. But I'm glad it is temporary.


PERKED up when I saw this but they are talking about one of the party areas, I think Harambe. The other offerings throughout the park are getting very positive reviews for most part. Night safari is still getting very mixed reviews. Poor lighting and no animals but the sunset affect and lighting good. Since it had over an hour wait tonight .... gonna be a tough one.

<sigh> I really wanted this show to be good. It didn't need to be spectacular...but I sure was hoping for "good". It really seems like the last minute scramble to come up with *something* by this weekend has resulted in a less than stellar production. Hopefully they will continue to tweak and improve the show over the next few weeks. I'll be there in 4 weeks from tonight....assuming this show survives that long.

Sadly, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. It'll be tough to overcome the negative reviews from tonight.

I agree. It will be interesting to see how things go over the next few nights. From the comments I've read here and other places tonight, it sounds like this is basically a Daytime MK Castle show being held on the water at AK at night. It's simply people standing on floats singing songs from The Jungle Book movie while the lights on the floats change color. And one little burst of fireworks at the end (I thought there were *no* fireworks). It's probably a miracle that they even managed to get that amount of content together by tonight.

Watching the video, I think Maggie riding the gator would have been a better option !! Between this and the less than stellar reviews of the nighttime Safari, I think I'm going to stick with our original plans --- 1/2 day at AK and dinner at Sanaa --- will cancel our TH dinner package --- just underwhelmed --- will wait for 2019 and ROL

I kinda liked the show. I'm surprised by so many bad reviews. I'm not sure what everyone expected, but we knew it wasn't going to be as good as what ROL is supposed to be, and we knew there wouldn't be fireworks (I am surprised by them as well), so I think they did a pretty good job with it. Granted, this type of show might not be for everyone, but a good show nonetheless and will get them through the summer, until (hopefully) ROL makes an appearance.

The positive I take from all of this is maybe they will start RoL sooner than later. Hopefully they will "fix their glitch" and bring this show online.

Sigh, was hoping for at least positive reviews (wasn't expecting high praise for it).

Have decide that I will keep our FPs for rides and hold on to the TH bfast package ... if reports continue to be negative, I can always cancel the ADR. Keeping a very tiny sliver of hope alive that by the end of July RoL will replace JB, but as others have said, I kinda over the whole thing. The group of people on this thread have been awesome though!
