Well, I guess as a very small consolation prize, I can finalize my plans, and someone must have cancelled their Tusker reservation when they heard, so now I have a 6:30pm Tusker lol

Thank goodness no one in our group knew about it. Heck, they don't even know it's coming.
DH knew and he'll be disappointed it's unlikely for our May trip.
Still working on nailing down when our next trip will be. Likely August, just before school starts back on the 8th

Okay, time for a positive post. For my fellow loungers who like Vera Bradley and could use some new items - I recall some people talking about how much they like the crossbody to carry through Disney parks - there are some great sales today on Zulily and also on VB's eBay store. I am going to try to go bagless at the parks, but just bought a new weekender bag to use for my airplane carryon for $38 shipped ($98 retail)!

I snagged a weekender bag too, great price! There have been so many reports of super long bag check lines, I may have to force myself to go bagless for the first time.

I know there are much bigger problems in this world but I can not help but be broken hearted. I was sad to find out that Frozen was not going to be ready in time. I was even sadder to find out the chances of seeing ANY Star Wars Show are very slim. With Disney taking away the Wishes FP, adding the After hours to my MK day, the cutbacks that keep coming, the closing of much of DHS, the closing of Soarin, and now this I just feel I am having a nightmare! Many may be upset but go numerous times but for us it may be a long time before we would have the opportunity to go again depending on my husband finding work. I should be excited that we have the chance to even go to DisneyWorld. Many people will never gave that chance. But when Disney gives you a Date and then comes back to say it could be more than a month from that date I can not help but be sad. I can only hope they would at least open the park up at night otherwise there is not much for the May people to make up for all they have taken away. Today I will go into mourning tomorrow back to working on plans.

any ideas on how (or even if) Earth Day/AK's Birthday will be celebrated? We planned April 21st as our AK day, and decided to hop over on the 22nd to catch the new stuff. If there won't be any new stuff, is there any reason to be in AK on the 22nd anymore?

Yes, in addition to the aforementioned book signing, there will be a festive Unofficial Non-Preview Party Earth Day Happy Anniversary Animal Kingdom Extravaganza. It will consist of me and my family hanging around in our ROL t-shirts and pins. Hopefully I will have a Dole Whip with rum punch, as I've heard they have that there...

100%. I'm upset that it's not going to happen during our trip, but I know I'll be back. The part that burns me is they had this hard date announced and then retracted it. It would have been in their best interest to not announce an opening date like most of their openings.
