Little off topic, but when is soarin and frozen scheduled to open as of now?

Yeah, we never tell the kids much of anything about specific plans. We keep it at "We're going to Disney" and let them be excited about that so when things change no one is too disappointed. This will be their 2nd time to Disney. First time was April 2014 so just a few weeks before 7DMT opened and in the middle of the A&E craze. They were excited to see A&E in the parade but were never the wiser about meeting them at Epcot.[/QUOTE
I got an a&e fp the day they opened thanks to the dis. Back when they still met together! Scored the girl an elsa dress at our local disney store in the lottery they held. It was quite a trip.

Sorry silly phone. I scored an a&e fp on the first day they opened at mk thanks to the dis. Was hoping for a similar result for rumors of light this trip. Fingers crossed at least some if you going in may get to see something besides a river and some lights.

Okay, time for a positive post. For my fellow loungers who like Vera Bradley and could use some new items - I recall some people talking about how much they like the crossbody to carry through Disney parks - there are some great sales today on Zulily and also on VB's eBay store. I am going to try to go bagless at the parks, but just bought a new weekender bag to use for my airplane carryon for $38 shipped ($98 retail)!

The ROL disney page now says coming soon. The April 22 date has been removed. Now I need the park hours so I can finish planning.

The main AK night time page still says the 22nd. The tree of life page also still says the 22nd. I think they might want to update all the pages if every everything is delayed.

So that means no ROL, no Frozen ride, and no new Soarin'.

Don't forget though you have got extra hours at MK before opening and after closing that you can pay EXTRA money for, and you even get a mickey ice lolly. So much better than ROL, Soarin, Fp+ for parades and fireworks and FEA!

Sadly, I don't think so. And not just in the theme park world.

Agreed, but was basically referring to Disney --- I don't remember them announcing a specific opening date, and then basically scrapping it --- for an entire project---- and not for a few days ---- we are probably looking at a 2 month delay, at least . I remember attractions being delayed--- rehabs---- that happens all the time. I remember Test Track opening later than originally planned. But , at least for Disney, I think this is unprecedented.
I could be totally wrong, but I think they ( and please pardon my French) **** the proverbial bed with this one .

I can tell you that this is the first time Disney announced an opening of a major entertainment/attraction so early. I was surprised when they did. It's usually only a couple of weeks before they open that they announce. I think they were trying so hard for an Earth Day opening that they got carried away. We always have rumors but nothing concrete from Disney that early.

I'm sure we won't see official announcement of anything else months in advance

I'm also sorry for everyone coming in April/May and those that planned to come specifically for RoL.
