You know...I've just been reading the BLOG and it got me to thinking...

Maybe we've all been too hung up on all this "night" stuff! Maybe we should all change our plans and do the nifty "Sense of Africa" tour instead. It's a breakfast thing (and very budget friendly). Anyone?

I would love to do this tour...not this next trip, but maybe a future trip. A bit on the pricey side, but with a meal, (Boma, I think...doesn't that usually run around $30-40?)

I know - it would be fun. I wasn't sure if it was all at the lodge or partly at AK, but it sounds like all at AKL. Can't remember how much Boma is - we're doing it for dinner this trip for the first time, although I hear breakfast is awesome. I would do it if it were just me (like a sister trip or something), but too much for all 4 of us. Still trying the evening safari for date night - includes wine so a little more value, lol!

My guess is that's how it will be handled. Only signature restaurants and dinner shows are currently prepay.

Signatures are not pre-pay. I have 3 booked at the moment. Haven't prepaid for them. It's the standard $10 no show fee as the others.

Aw heck y'all. I just got this "Official" looking envelope in the mail from Washington, DC and I opened it and it was an AARP membership invitation because I am turning 50 this month. Can someone please tell me that is an April Fool's joke??

I turned 50 in November, and you should see the stuff I get in the mail now. Its ridiculous. Brochures for seniors homes, a pamphlet on Alzheimer's, a brochure from a company that helps seniors with chores, etc... And so on. Really? Geez, I'm only 50!!!

I mean, here we are.... Over 400 pages, someone gave BIRTH while waiting for ROL ADR and FP+ announcements.... and we are still having a blast. I get a laugh every time I step away from the computer for an hour and the thread jumps 10 pages! I always check the last post first, to make sure I didn't totally miss something important (like a baby being born), and then go back and read. I absolutely LOVE how this thread is all over the map, and everyone is nice and helpful.

Also - If someone is still working on the t-shirt, baby Rolf needs a mention.

Tried a suggested site and it was a pain in the ....... so now working on another one and I do believe you can order whatever you want, onesies included.

Will post as soon as we are successful in the setup.

Our wedding anniversary is 4/21 ! Just thought of that --- will probably celebrate another 15 years before we get our ROL - ADR

That was me joking, lol! it's wanyama safari - I think it's $190 but includes a dinner at Jiko with wine pairings. I think it's only for AKL guests, but not sure! I could have scored a ADR for our date night, but hesitated and lost out!

Latest I've heard. Don't expect those preview wdwnt posted. The only event still on the table is 4/19 which is media/corporate related. I'm even hearing the opening might be pushed back until the 26th or later.

I appreciate the sobering updates. For the sake of my dear disboard friends, I hope they get the unexpected surprise of a preview.

Personally, I was tempted to update to an AP early and drive down just for an AP preview party.. but it would screw up my plans for using my 4 days over a weekend and then upgrading to weekday select. "Only" like 200 extra dollars each to have a Florida Silver pass! ....

Maybe for 7DMT?
I mean it's really been YEARS since there's been a new show at WDW.
It's really fun to read and be a part of something so monumental at WDW!
