I cut holes in the kids apples this morning and put gummy worms in them, I really wish I could be there when they open their lunch boxes.

I'm late in responding to this one, but that is SERIOUSLY adorable. Wish I had thought about that back when my brother was in elementary school and I put his lunches together.
I've never been big on April Fool's because I never remember, but my mother-in-law just posted this and I think it's hilarious:

"So.. Mo [her husband] calls me this morning and tells me that I have to come and pick him up. He just got a big fat speeding ticket...so bad that they're towing his car and he needs a ride. I'm freaking out and can hardly believe what I'm hearing, then he said "April Fools!".

He's eating leftovers for dinner tonight."

What is your favorite April Fool's Day trick? When my kids were little, I used to mix green food coloring into either their scrambled eggs or the milk for their cereal...pretty tame....I don't like being tricked, and didn't really want to do it to them...LOL

When we were teens, I replaced the filling in Oreo cookies with toothpaste and offered them to my sisters.

I'm a longtime lurker, but had to respond to this one. My 10 year old just did this to my 16 year old today. He hasn't tried the Oreo yet. We will see what happens!

I'm in Northeastern CT. One good thing is I can start packing our bags for our trip in 3 weeks if I want to since we probably won't be needing shorts before then.

What is the awakening of the Tree of Life?Each evening, the Tree of Life will draw Guests to Discovery Island for a lively gathering where the animal spirits of the Tree are brought to life, revealing moments of wonder and enchantment. The Tree of Life connects all living things and in the awakening of the Tree, its energy is brought to life in the form of playful fireflies surrounding the tree, as well as other animations magically appearing.

How often will the Tree awaken?The Tree will awaken multiple times per evening at various times that are designed to surprise and delight our Guests and reveal moments of marvel. Once the Tree awakens, it will remain active throughout the evening with multiple 2-3-minute animal fables, as well as shorter, enchanting scenes of nature and animal activity.

Where can Guests see the Tree awaken?The best place for Guests to view the awakening is in the center of the hub. Guests will only be able to view the awakening at the front of the Tree of Life, nothing will be visible from the back of the Tree.

Is the Tree of Life awakening connected to “Rivers of Light”?These are two separate experiences to enjoy, however both celebrate the stories that animals can share and showcase the magic of nature. The Tree of Life awakenings are 2-3-minute-long experiences meant to surprise and delight Guests, where “Rivers of Light” is a nighttime, waterside show featuring lights, lanterns and lotuses.

A friend of ours is actually working closely with the project and hasn't even been told a start time for the show (RoL). I'm sometimes amazed by HOW close these things are played to the chest. I will be lurking here (new member). We have a trip planned for third week in September.

Tell her, to make them look authentic, squeeze a blob of past onto the middle of one cookie, then press the two cookies together, so the paste pushes outward into a flat filling. Don't use a butter knife to spread it on. It won't look right.

If you've seen the new Star Wars film, Maggie is the holo-projection giving Kylo his instructions, or at least that's who the character was fashioned after....
I heard it from a friend of a CM's friend who once house sat for the guy who did the maintenance for the gal who ran the Catering truck at the Studio....

I think she might chicken out, but she has a friend spending the night, so I could see the two of them doing it together!

Of course? C'mon. There's no "of course" when it comes to Disney attraction openings in 2016!
