Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

My son dresses as Olaf and belts out all the songs. He's a fantastic singer, but I always feel bad for the people in front of us. I tell him to take it down a notch. But he gets so into it.
My 14 yo son has autism, so he's oblivious to the fact that there's anyone around or looking at him- and he has no filter. So both times he just belts out those songs. I told him last time during one of the breaks in songs that maybe he should sing a little softer so they can hear everyone else too. He nice and loud told me that the lady sitting next to him was even louder, and she didn't even have a good voice:scared: Luckily she had a good sense of humor and agreed with him. I was mortified. :rotfl:

Hmm... while on this topic.. if we have a 12:15 Akershus lunch, planned to snack around the food booths a bit, where would you recommend for an affordable for out-of-pocket dinner at Epcot?

What time for Rose & Crown if we wanted to see Illuminations from there? (Doubt I'll get an ADR but so I know "when" to stalk for lol)

Can't believe this is at nearly 300 pages although I do feel I have spent half my life following it. I recheck after a few hours and there are another 10 pages, what will we do after ROL is released???
Back to paying for the EMH, does anyone know if these have been scheduled beyond a few weeks? We go august and I'm wondering how late I will find out if they have dates in august. I won't be happy if after booking cp at 8am that's the early morning one and again after spending ages on my itinerary for a quiet evening for wishes there are 1000 's more due to the evening events.
There should be a rule if they have us brainwashed into booking everything at 180days on the dot they have to give us 190 days notice of changes!

Absolutely no blindsiding allowed!

@TheMaxRebo - I've heard that Sunshine Seasons is really good but we've never eaten there - is it currently closed? I thought I heard that but can't remember...I want to try Spice Road Table too!

The fish tacos there were amazing (rather spicy though) and the strawberry shortcake is one of the best desserts on property

Just checked and it says it is open from 9am to 7pm today

We sometimes leave Epcot and eat at Beaches and Cream. I love their 6 cheese grilled cheese and tomato soup! Not to mention the No Way José dessert!

affordable sit down or would quick service count? For quick service I suggest Sunshine Seasons. For sitdown, Rose and Crown isn't bad and Spice Road is mostly small plates so you can do that rather cheap (for Disney standards)

As for time for Rose and Crown. Assuming Illuminations at 9pm something like 7:30-8 would work. Also note that even if you are seated inside you can go out to watch Illuminations form the patio

Thank you so much for the Epcot recommendations! I get tired of trying to track down reviews of individual places and sometimes it's hard to find a place on here to ask generic questions without always starting a new thread (and how many people will tell me to "do a search" or say "this has been asked and answered thousands of times already!") so thank you for giving me some good ideas!

If you like Mexican La Hacienda is good is very nice and has good food. Plus if you time it right you may be able to get a good seat for illuminations.

Have I missed the 300 page party?? Just popping in to see what's new after my Dr appointment. Just had injections to my neck. Fun. I'm determined to walk around WDW without pain on my trip. Staying positive!!
I want a shirt for the 300 page hootenanny!

Sending healing thoughts!!

I have to go pick up my daughter but I don't want to miss the 300 page party. Do y'all mind waiting until I get back? J/K!
