Rumored deals???

I was trying to follow this thread but haven't been on the last couple of days and now there are 18 pages.

Can someone fill me in on when it is supposed to open to the general public and when for DVisa card holders?

TIA

Funny how these discount rumor threads have a life of their own. Of course, about half the posts are people wishing for free dining, which is not part of the rumor. But so it goes...

The rumor is that if this discount exists it will be released to Disney Visa cardholders on Monday and the general public on Wednesday.

But as I posted above, on another thread a dining line CM said all dining line CM's hours were increased effective Sunday. I don't know how that fits in, if it is related at all.

It would be nice if the 4/3 deal included as well buy the DP for 4 days get 3 days free! I guess I can wish right?

OK - here's another wrinkle that may or may not be related. If it is related, I don't know how.

On another thread there was a dining line CM who said that everyone's hours were increased effective this Sunday. I've never heard of WDW announcing a major promotion on a Sunday, but why would hours be increased on a Sunday unless they expect an increase in call volume?

Speculation?

:confused390 day window for Xmas should be somewhere in that time period, can't remember when the 180 day one comes back into play...not enough:surfweb:yet

It could just be that Sunday is the start of the scheduling week, since overtime is counted by the week not the day.

Or that CM's theory could be right, and they might be quietly launching 180 day reservations early to ease the craziness of the changeover.

We'll see in a day or two either way.

90 day for Christmas has already passed and the change back to 180 isn't supposed to happen until 10/27, so unless something has changed with that (which is the CM who posted about the schedule's theory), it isn't the reason.

So let me get this straight......the proposed rumor is that Disney will offer the Buy 4/3 deal again but only discount the room? So I would have to purchase a 7 day pass instead of a 4 day pass like before?

I understand they may not allow one day passes to be purchased but I'm not sure why if the deal is buy 4/3 why you need to buy a 7 day pass?

First off, remember it's all a rumor anyway.

I think these kind of specific questions haven't been answered, even in the rumor.

If you purchase a 4 day pass, aren't the additional days only something like $3 each or so? Even if they include park admission passes in the deal I don't think that's much to write home about.

It could be that you are required to purchase 4 days of park admission as part of the package. Then you get the additional 3 days of park admission free.

This is pure speculation based on the PP's post.

But maybe I'm not understanding the nature of your post.

You're right about the price difference for the extra days on the tickets. :rolleyes1

I guess we will have to just wait and see what Disney actually does. :confused3

But since we're planning on doing a spit stay if we are required to buy 7 day passes for both weeks I will probably pass on this deal, at least on one of the weeks.

Deal or no deal, I went ahead and booked our May/June 2010 trip to Disney. Hopefully, the rumors will come true and they'll extend any deals into May and June.

I'm just sitting here biting my nails, waiting for this deal to be announced.

Wednesday can't come soon enough!

If this deal comes through, my DH said we can go to the WL! If not, it'll be Pop Century for us - either way, we'll be in Disney - but I've always wanted to stay at the WL!!!

Come oonnnnnnnnn Wednesday! :surfweb:
What happens Wednesday?

I have ? about the 4/3 deal.
If we already have a trip booked and paid for during the time this is offered will we be able to get a refund?

Maybe since this is the last day to book FD under the current special they are launching something new right away?!

Or, does the OT relate only to the dining reservation CM's? Then, maybe it does have to do with the 180 day window. If so, I guess I better figure out my dining for January!!

I just got our Disney Visa a month or so ago... how do they usually notify Disney Visa card holders of special promos? By e-mail?

We are planning a trip for July. Does anyone have a guess as to if the rumored deals would go out that far?? :cutie:

There was a post by someone whose friend works for disney destinations that said the 4/3 was to be offered, as well as free dining, but that it was going to be an either/or thing. Said that you can't apply both deals and would have to choose. Again, that is a rumor and is really reaching, but it may account for all the people hoping for free dining. I think that post may have been on the rumors and news section.... I hope that there is something released, even if it is just going back to 180 day ressies because I can't handle another disappointment after the whole "aug 17th announcement" debacle.:headache: I have the feeling that these rumors don't just have a life of their own, they take over MY life while I am waiting on them!!!!:surfweb:LOL
