Will there be a soft opening before April?

There are already announced CM previews, and mention of DVC and AP previews (but no dates given). I would also expect D23 to get a preview, golden oak, and media.

Based on timing, and last 2 rides that opened doubtful there will be a soft open but you never know.

Never seen the movie, so I have NO idea who/what all of those other characters are. I thought it was more of a rollercoaster type ride where you sit on something that looks like a motorcycle.

Will there be a soft opening before April?

No one knows for sure (that's willing to speak in public about that at least) but there haven't been soft openings; aka, pulling guests off the street; since New Fantasy Land opened in 2014. I can't see them going back to that method now but I also never say never.

Guardians did have a paid D23 preview that was open to anyone with a paid membership, and quick sign up skills. So look at that maybe, if you don't qualify via another method.

It is. It's got a story with it, as almost all things Disney do but the bottom line is that's what the ride is. A coaster with a motorcycle style ride vehicle. Think Hagrids at Universal.

Yes I was there for the soft opening of FL. It was so much fun getting on and seeing everything beforehand

I wish I knew a CM. My sister and I will be there to celebrate a big birthday for her the last couple of days of February and I understand that CMs will be able to schedule rides from early Feb through early March for themselves and friends/family. It would be totally awesome to surprise her with a preview ride.

A soft opening for the general public is not expected.

Previews for select groups are. CMs have already signed up for their previews. AP and DVC previews are expected to announced soonish.

Any cast members looking to adopt some family members on 2/11? But seriously, the ride looks awesome and I guess we’ll have to schedule another trip to ride. Darn!
