It wouldn't surprise me if they closed Disneyland Hong Kong once that park opens. That would be a shame. We wanted to get out there once the kids were grown.![]()

That won't happen.
First, they're two completely different markets, more different than California is to Florida, because Hong Kong still does not completely identify itself with mainland China, and it's clientele probably suited more toward locals and tourists who are visiting HK anyway (like I will be this weekend

Second, Disney wouldn't do it, just to save face. If you notice in history that Disney will practically never ever admit defeat or failure, they'll keep changing things until they start to be at least a little bit successful (See EuroDisney when it first opened/DCA right now). Ok, Eisner did admit that EuroDisney, now DisneylandParis was a failure, but they've never even hinted at closing it.
