Raising the VGC price twice in 6 months for a property that is rarely ever sold direct is peculiar. Makes me think it could mean one of two things:

1. Laying ground work for an eventual higher price point ($250-275/pt??) for the new Disneyland Hotel Tower so that it still looks reasonable in comparison.
2. Possible VGC expansion ala VGF2- much less likely IMHO, but nothing would surprise me a this point

Glad we purchased 300 points at BCV in 2002, and BRV and AKV (200 at each) a few years later. I can't even imagine buying 700 points today, even at resale prices. That's why we never stop smiling when we're at WDW!

There wouldn't be an expansion there is the new Tower coming. They don't really sell it direct because resale points are so high and at this point I think their plan is simply to flip all those buyers to the Towers.

That was my thought. Price up VGC, even though they aren't selling it, but it preps everyone for the extremely high price of the new tower.
