Rumor: Full The Force Awakens trailer to debut during Monday Night Football

You waited a while, I got done in 10 minutes. I would have gave up at that point.

I just kept refreshing, it wasn't a biggie, my kids really wanted to see it and since they are all teenagers I know I don't have very many of these moments with them left at home, so totally worth it. I still remember going to see Empire Strikes Back with my dad when I was little. Anyhow I just didn't want to give up, I'm not a quitter.

I am just old….:rotfl2: I am glad you got in.

Keep at it...

I got through fandango...

One tip: I kept getting locked up when Trying to use visa in payment...I switched to
PayPal and it went through on the first shot...maybe the credit system is
Overrun?

I just got through on Studio Movie Grill's direct site! I'm so pumped!!!! They don't have the huge stadium seating but I'll be 8.5 months pregnant when the movie comes out, so I needed reserved seats!!!! Cannot frigging wait!!!!!

Well that was a fun few hours ............... Fandango and websites total fails, finally got them on AMC app.
9:30 am Friday .... for the first viewing. :cool1: Usually go to Thursday night releases but opted for sleep this go round.

There were reports that many theaters went rogue (pun) and started selling tickets hours early...violating Disney's "no pre sale" policy...

...unless that was a plan all along

Well, it did not take long for it to start selling out. I think the tickets only went on sale today, so even an hour start was probably not a big deal to them.

Got mine on Fandango right around 8pm. No trouble then.

Also, the Fandango app alerted that they were available about 10 minutes later.

7:20 on 12/17...

It's with the kids and they don't like 3D (truth be told I don't either)...so we're seeing it in 1977 style...

Will probably go back over the weekend or the following week and see it in IMAX 3D if it's good.

The trailer looked inline with some of the rumors...I haven't really looked around a lot but have seen a few things...

If pulled off well...and I have to have faith that the main people involved - even walts accountants - would not have done this to make a transformers/fast and furious bad Hollywood popcorn flick. Maybe if the prequels hadn't been god awful (they were)...but I can't see it now.

I'm desperately hoping for a sense of "relief" 2:18 minutes after the previews roll...
...and I'm expecting a tear or two as well as I think part of the Star Wars fan is gonna get some pain out of this movie...just a hunch.

Football started at 8:15 pm, DS said he was able to get to tickets on Fandango at 8:32 pm .... that is one short football half.

People had them hours before...if you believe Twitter.

And I was in the payment screens long before the trailer ran...that was for amc, fandango, and regal. All sites were down due to bottlenecking off and on.

I had mine about 10 minutes before the half...and I only had to use a Mac, iPhone, galaxy tab, and a dell xps to get one of them through...

Lol...no joke

Can confirm. My local theater has reserved seating, so my plan was to be on to snag the best seats as soon as they went on sale.

I called the theater today to make sure they wouldn't start selling them early. They told me they were not allowed to. I checked several times throughout the day anyway. After work I quit checking until about 6:30 and I decided to check from home. Much to my surprise, the first showtime was almost completely sold out. Fortunately there were still seats available in the 21+ only section. But I had to pay almost twice the cost of a regular ticket. Still worth it to know 2 months from now I will have a back row center seat to a film that has been 3 generations in the making.

I still wasn't happy I was lied to though. My plan was to purchase about 8 regular priced tickets and recruit people to go or sell them at a surplus if needed. But since these tickets are double the cost, I only bought 4 and doubt they can be sold for any markup since most fans crazy enough to do that knew about this sale and got them already.

Good for you .... don't forget to wear those bell bottoms to the movie :D pretty sure that is what I was wearing when I saw the first one, it was a big deal back then too but we had to wait in line to buy tickets. Ahh the glory of the internet, buying movie tickets two months early while watching tv in my pajamas.

We are going IMAX so then the big decision is seat location. We usually go Thursday for the biggies like Pirates and Batman .... and this but age kicking in and Friday am means half the price and mostly adults in the theater (last day of school here plus exams). I know DS will go back at least 3-4 times.

We are seeing it 1977 2D style on opening night too! Will see it in 3D after opening night.

I just got through to AMC Universal funny enough. I was talked out of it with the logic that we can wait until we get home.

My paitence wore thin trying to get access to the Regal site. I'm actually at WDW on vacation this week and was exausted after spending most of the day at Epcot. However tickets were still available for 12/17 @ 7:00 PM early this morning!

I will be on vacation when it comes out. I think I will see it a little later. But it looks absolutely fantastic.

Anyone still want to disagree with me that this is going to blow up Jurassic World's record?

No way. People weren't buying tickets like this for that movie. This is going to be HUGE. Even if it sucks, it's going to easily get the opening weekend record.

So to clarify, you're upset that you were lied to...because that kept you from being able to fleece other movie-goers to make a profit for yourself? Seems reasonable.
